Took the assignment by SATS. It was disastrous. I forgave myself since it was my first time taking such tests. The first 2 tests were personality tests, which i think will fail me. Cos one essential quality they look in management trainee is leadership. I honestly put that quality as a very low score. lols. The next test was on my analytic skills. It was of high level of difficulty. They have 3 options: 'yes', 'no' and 'cannot say'. The 'cannot say' option was real confusing.


One example: The goods and products are sold worldwide, especially in Germany.
Yes?
No?
Cannot say?

The sentence in the context was "Goods and products are sold in Germany and Russia, and worldwide."


I just put 'Cannot say'. I dunno! Omg!
49 questions in 12 mins. I only completed 25. Lols. My heart was beating so fast, i can hear it pounding. I told Simba and he was "Huhs! Fail liao lehs!" But i did 1 question in 30 seconds and i thought it was already quite fast! :)


The instructions before i took the test were "Most people cannot finish the 49 questions, but if u do not know how to attempt it, press the skip button and come back to it if u have time. Try not to make wild guesses."

I didn't skip and i was so optimistic. I told simba that maybe they would think i persisted by trying hard to attempt every question. lols!


The last test was on finance (accounting esp) and i did faster. 30 out of 49!


I am just plain lazy to add any contacts to my new phone. I only added my pHD student's number, lols! (I always needed her help.) but it is amazing how I know who the friend is when he or she msged me. I roughly remember his/her number, like some random digits. Clever right! I confirmed it myself with his or her writing style and how they greeted me. So far, i guessed Bi Han, Carine, Si Ting and Joe correctly. :) Now my phonebook only has Bi Han, Carine, Si Ting, Joe. And Ling, Ying, Miao and my younger brother cos their numbers are engraved into my mind! The rest, let me continue to guess who u are. LOL!



I love April. It is my birthday month! I'm so awaiting what Simba will be planning this year!

One thing about the lazy person: I felt a big headache last night whenever I held my head up. I only felt less of the pain when my head is rested on the pillow. Hence, found an execuse not to do work lol! The pain is gone after an hour's nap! The next day I overslept and didn't go for tutorial and thought it was fine, it must be my big headache last night! ;)

A big problem for big headed people like me!! Lols!!


Finally handed in my FYP report draft yesterday night at 11 15pm. And rushed down to Nex for "World Invasion" movie. The deadline was yesterday, without the time specified. So i took that into my advantage lols. I actually finished on Tuesday and handed in to my pHD student. I tried to amend it on Wednesday and Thursday. Didn't get alot of sleep lately. 3 hours per day!


At our FYP meeting yesterday, Bi Han said she didn't sleep until 8am the next day just to finish the report. I said i slept at 4 30am and cannot take it already!
Bi Han: "I thought u finished already?"
Me: "I did, but i was checking it!"
Bi Han: "HUHS! I knew it! I knew u will take it very seriously. It is only a draft! Not the real one! ..."


Then i realised i cannot finish earlier too. I would get very paranoid and checked and amend and amend. Bi Han started the report later than me but submitted earlier than me. And had to persuade me to submit. :P

They look really nice and taste nice too!
Coffee has become a kind of lifestyle ever since Starbucks come into place. I can't live without coffee. The Nescafe ice coffee is my best friend. It keeps me awake everyday.

However, it seems like advices from friends come altogether.
"Don't drink too much coffee. I am trying to cut down as well." -Joe
"I try to drink tea instead." - Carine
"U know coffee can cause (some diseases' names)." -Kevin

And i have Hooi Ling who confiscated my coffee that day's lunch. I was in the lab later that day trying to think of how to test my instrument and couldn't get anything to come to my mind since i was so tired. Bi Han came and i said, "Let's go for some break. Don't let Hooi Ling know i'm going to drink coffee k!"


Hence last week i hardly touch coffee even though i hardly sleep. Surprisingly, i was pretty awake. I guess the adrenaline is always too high when the report deadline is nearing.
When i drank coffee finally yesterday, i was suffering in the lecture instead. Heard my heart beating too fast. The allergy is acting again!


I went to google "Bad effects of coffee." But after typing "bad effects", it just automatically came out ...




It was comparable to SMOKING, globalization, processed foods and GAMBLING!
How bad can it get?

Simba spotted it and said i would like this since i love whipped cream. And flowers. And cakes. And ribbons. And chocolates. (Yes all the fattening and sweet stuff!) And BLING BLING! I know a 24-year-old is kind of old for this! Luckily i look young (LOL). It is $25 and generous simba bought it. (He bought a gun and a navigation sensor for his ps3 yest at $130. Omg.)




Promised my pHD student that i hand in my FYP report draft on Friday (25 Mar) for her to check before finally submitting it to Prof on 1st Apr. I made it one week earlier so that she has enough time to check and also i can force myself to write it earlier LOL (I hate it when I always postpone! Just can't sit down to write!) And oops, i can't finish it! Too much data to handle. OMG! I think she won't hold it against me right? :P
Simba said by doing that (trying to submit earlier), i am giving myself unnecessary stress. Luckily, i am still quite calm nowsadays. (i was quite scared at the beginning of Mar simply by looking at the data i have to plot. Faints~)



Have been selected by SATS to do an online assignment 'Graduate Assimilation Programme (GAP)' for 70-80mins! Omg. That's long.

The 4 aspects of the assignment: Shapes (measure of competencies); reviews aspects of your personality and behavioural style in the workplace

Management trainee! They made it sound so attractive at their booth. I dunno! :(

Simba asked me to just take the test and see how. He said we should try everything, maybe i will like it! :) i have thought so far right! They didn't even say they want me yet lols!

Actually i wanna apply for full time tuition teacher at a tuition centre. The starting pay is quite high :P. But i heard that my first job should be at least from a company of well known reputation!



This is finally the time to think about what i should do, seriously. My coursemates have begun sending resumes and going for interviews. (I am so slow! I wanna finish my fyp report first! LOL)

It is like choosing what secondary school i wanna go to after my PSLE!

Many asked me to go MOE to be a teacher! Omg! Kill me! I don't wanna be a teacher! One Joanna (tutee's name) is enough. I don't need 40 Joannas. Yes, i am very touched by the recent advertisement from MOE but no! Never a teacher.

3 facts that your tutee is so overfamiliar with u!

1. Her mum asked u along to Bras Basah to select storybooks for her. She left u with your tutee and she lies her whole body weight on u while she reads. I dunno why i nearly died supporting the the weight of a 30kg girl!


2. U told her mum last year that u will be too busy for any extra tuition lessons. Being very understanding, she brought your tutee to a nearby tuition centre for extra Science tuition. Now your tutee wants to quit after going for 2 lessons. She pointed at u while talking to her mum, "No other teacher but her!" And yes, extra hours per week for giving tuition! Omg!


3. She fed u alot of food during the lesson. She said u should eat more and not think of becoming slim. :P

The supermoon. It was said to be the brightest over the past 18 years!
The Moon and the Earth were at the closet proximal distance to each other on this day.
My pHD student told me that the magnetic field is so strong that it was believed to affect humans' psychology.



I thought it wasn't true since I am still not insane now Lol!



I could not see the moon from my house so I went out to see it. Just took a few photos of it lol! It looked just like the normal moon with my camera. But I can show u my newly painted flat! Lol!














I never fell in love with the planets and heavens before until i learnt about Astronomy!
Our heavens is so beautifully astonishing. God is so artistic, so ingenious, so gifted, so imaginative, so innovative!

This year, the built-to-order flats are launching in Jurong West, Tampines, Choa Chu Kang, Seng Kang, Yishun and Bukit Batok.

The flats are launching in Jurong West and Seng Kang. Huhs! Seng Kang seems far! LOL!
I didn't know that every month they launch new BTO flats and the application period is just one week! (If u know, please do not laugh at me!)
I applied for the free SMS service to notify me of any new launch every month this year. :)
Hope i get some good news one fine month! :P

Will be real busy these days! ;(

Taiwan Day 5 Part 2

Friday today. Didn't want to do anything so yeah.. Blogging! Blogging can really help to relax.
I actually wanna watch some TV series online but i know if i start, the momentum will start and never stops! :)



Been seeing too many friends and strangers with dyed hair. Wanna dye my hair again! Miss the gold color lols.


Supposed to go gym with Simba today but in the end was too tired. lols! After my FYP meeting, Bi Han, Carine and i went to our school's Bazaar and bought some clothes! it's only $15 per piece. :P The stallholders lowered the price for students. :) Kevin waited in the canteen for us and we went to Starbucks in Jurong Point after that. (Simba was doing his FYP.)
Then at 7pm, when Simba was done, he asked me to go to the gym with him and his friend. I agreed but once i reached home, i don't feel like going out again! Oops! SO LAZY right! I told Simba to watch a movie after his gymming. And he said, "Got energy to watch movie, no energy to go gym??!!!" HAHAHAHA! I know my health-conscious bf will drag me to go soon.

So here goes.. Taiwan Day 5 Part Two!




We were at the Taipei Zoo...




After the Amphibian House, we start off with the elephants. :)
We met the Malaysians who sat in the same cable car as us again!
We realised we really have alot of fate with them after we saw them again at Shilin Night Market later on the very same day!










This bird escaped from somewhere of the zoo!
It just kept walking everywhere. It wasn't afraid of us the BIG-SIZED human beings!





My legs are aching and the sun is burning me. I asked Simba to quickly take shelter at the nearby cafe and have lunch but he insisted that we should take photos with the fake hippos. So here i am with these ground lying hippos!







And then the animal lover saw these and we still haven't go to the cafe!

I was so full from eating these. I knew i will fall sick soon from the long exposure to the sun and also the fried food!





It started to rain. A very heavy downpour and we are stuck at the cafe. Hence, simba bought an ice-cream to pass time.





We waited for an hour but the rain just got heavier. Hence, Simba was so disappointed as the zoo is closing. What he did was to take the umbrella and went around snapping a few photos of the animals while i waited outside the cafe. He disallowed me to go! Maybe he thought i will melt in the rain or what!










He was real disappointed that the last animal he took was this camel!
This camel is real cute. The other camels were hiding under the shelter from the rain but this one walked proudly towards us and allowed us to take pictures of it.




Off we went with one small umbrella, walking towards the exit. It was a long long way. My shoes got soaked in the rain and i was shivering badly. Simba took off my shoes and put them into a plastic bag. I wore his slippers and he walked barefooted all the way back. The ground was full of tiny stones and i think it was very very rough. Poor simba!








We were also disappointed that the panda exhibition house was closed.
We have never seen a panda before! :( This photo of the fake panda is used to remind me to see some real ones one day!











We finally reached the souvenir store. I kept taking photos of the souvenirs and Simba was so afraid that we might get chased out. Lols! I realised i am more of a risk taker than Simba! :P

Then we took the train to Shilin Station.





Went to Shilin Market and realised that it was not the Night Market.
The Market was filled with many foodstalls and all of the stallholders were fighting to get customers. We got a scare from the overwhelming friendliness!


Walked and walked and walked before we asked the locals there for directions.
We headed the wrong way and my poor legs were really achy.





Simba was craving for the 豪大大雞排 at ShiLin since Day 1!
He wanted to eat everyday but i really have no appetite. Hence if i don't eat, he doesn't want to eat too. The reason being, he doesn't want to grow fatter without me growing fatter. Omg! How can i make him fatter without me getting fatter?
Finally at ShiLin, i shared the 大雞排 with him. I knew he will be very very upset if i didn't. The queue was so long that the customers were on the road. It was so dangerous since many many cars were travelling at high speed there.
大雞排 was not disappointing. We love it.




Some stall next to the 大雞排 stall promoted this watermelon drink. Since we went there with an open heart, we were willing to try everything that were promoted. And the drink tasted super super weird. Wow wrong choice again!

My camera went out of battery and the rest of the photos were taken using Simba's parents' camera.






We were so attracted to everything sold there. Simba loves ShiLin and ShiDa since the guys' clothing in these places are of better quality. He only buys the more expensive clothes lols!













We will take photos of every train station!
As that night was our last night there, we were really tired. Thus, we left ShiLin at about 8 30pm and wanna have an early rest.





And the moment i reached the hotel room, i was dead beat. I slept like a log and simba woke me up soon after to ask me to go for foot massage with him. He was also craving for neck and foot massage since he saw the advertisement nearby our hotel that says "Head Neck Shoulder Treatment". He loves massages!

He also woke me up all the days there since i dozed off very quickly. He watched the soccer channel alone and woke me up to watch it with him. Omg! I dozed off again after watching soccer for like 15 mins.

So off we went looking for the nicest shop.









And we found this one.




They summarize benefits of "ear cleaning" in a simple error-free English. Anyway, I think it's ear candling or something right!












We have to wash our feet in this tonic water. The water is yellow before i put my feet in. lols!
Not that it turned yellow after i put my feet in k!






This lady is very gentle with me. I like her! Very sweet lady!







The uncle in charge of massaging simba's feet was funny. He knew i was taking photos of him so he pressed Simba's feet really hard that he screamed. lols! The uncle wanted me to capture a shot of the scared simba.






Simba went for the neck and shoulder massage too. I waited half an hour for him and when i asked him whether it was nice, he said it was very itchy! He tried very hard not to laugh. Lols! Wasted money!
