Blogger doesn't allow me to upload any photos. Does anyone know why?

Okie, so no photos today. I realised i have turned more and more talkative. OMG! I just can't stop talking at work. And i can't sit still. I must walk around and talk, talk, talk. I never used to be this way. I was a quiet Primary kid. Not so quiet in secondary school, but still quiet. I only talked to my close friends. Once in poly, i tend to open up more to my friends. Talk to more people. But people must initiate to talk to me 1st. NOW? i initiate! Jun Wen says he gets along better with chatterboxes and i am one of them.

There was a confirmed h1n1 case from our polyclinic few days ago. He came back from overseas and has fever, flu and cough. Thus, he was not allowed to come into the clinic. He had to sit outside the clinic and the doctor will come down in his mask and gown to examine him. And the ambulance will come to send him to TTS hospital.

We did this to other patients who came back from overseas and have fever, flu or cough. So don worry about me or coming into contact with me guys! I dont think i will be infected. And i think my immune system has built up! i didnt fall sick this 2 mths when junwen has fallen sick twice.

As they have set up another health monitoring station in the polyclinic, i went to the new station to help out. And I get to take my patients' blood pressure. Hahas quite fun!

Other than

- giving out quene numbers
- taking temperatures
- keying in patients' datas
- tying masks for patients
- registrating patients for flu clinic
- being the clinic's information counter (walking directory)

I learnt about how the polyclinic runs.

Now i get to act professional haha.

I have to ask questions like,

"Sir, do u smoke?"

"How many years have u been smoking?"

"How many cigarettes do u smoke per day?"

"Do any of your family members have coronary heart disease?"

And i get to ask the patient to relax and not cross their legs during the blood pressure taking. PRO HOR.

Then i key in the patient's data and wrapped the cuff around his arm. The nurse taught me how to wrap it properly. They even have bigger cuffs for fat patients and small cuffs for children.

And the patients will think i am a nurse. hahaha. They will ask me questions like, "Is my blood pressure normal? What is the normal blood pressure range? What do systolic and diastolic means? What is coronary heart disease?" And i felt so happy sharing what i have learnt in school with them. I think i really like the medical line.

I took my own blood pressure and i got low blood. Oh no! I didnt believe and tried a few more times. But the result is still the same. I GOT LOW BLOOD PRESSURE! No wonder i feel like fainting when i am at home. I thought it is because my mum kept talking to me.

I really like taking the elderly or the very sick patients to the nurse. I held this blur elderly man this morning. He didnt talk at all. And my colleague has to steal his ezlink card from his pouch hanging from his neck. I asked him the reason why he is coming to the clinic. He just looked at me with a blank face. So poor thing! He held the asmatic device and so i asked him whether he is feeling breathless. And no reply again. So i just guided him to the nurses and told them he is asmatic. The nurses immediately flashed that worried look on their faces. And they can be really fast in treating him.

And my desire to be a nurse becomes stronger.

Sarah is now studying nursing in NUS. She is one of their 3rd batch of students. I didnt know NUS has nursing! If i knew, i will apply for it. But still, BioEng is quite okie! My 2 colleagues were from BioEng too. One graduated from Ngee Ann poly and the other NUS. And the NUS guy couldn't get a job and so he took up a temp job first. This is worrying me. Omg! And the funny thing is, he share the same name as my dad. Whenever i call him by his name, i feel like i am disrespecting my dad. HAHAHA.

Some of the small nurses there look so happy. They care for one another. They work from 7am to 4pm. And after work, they will tell us their husbands are waiting outside to fetch them home. So sweet! I want to be a small nurse too!

Or i can be a pharmacist. I watched the pharmacist, Ricky, do his work. How caring he was really touched me. He advises the patients and prescibes them the medicine. And he gets his assistant to take the medicine for him. If u give me a job to talk alot, i will more than glad! But i don't want sales, counselling and teaching haha.

Or if next time simba sponsor me with a shop in town, i promise to work hard as a lady boss. I will make my shop look soooooooo nice! :) I will handpick the clothes myself and put them on the mannequins and put them on display. Then every now and then, i just go for some high tea and leave my salesgirls in the shop. I will definitely treat my salesgirls well! Maybe i bring them out to dinner once in a while.

I smile because i am happy now. I smile because i believe in the future. I believe there are better and happier days ahead. Yeahs!

Bihan's 22nd birthday.

We intended to go Swensens for dinner. But when Bi Han told us that she had to stay back in school to finish her project, we switched to a cheaper alternative. We went to Pastamania instead. We got 10% discount. Last time i used to get 20%. Erms! Maybe now they change rule. But the cooks cooked plenty of pasta! We were all full. Maybe my 'ou xiang' asked them cook more.

Sharon bought the cake from elsewhere. But we sat down at TCC to cut the cake. The staff wasn't very happy even though we ordered a drink each. Ooops! Nice hor, i like the tone of the cake. From light beige to dark brown.

I realise all of us showed our teeth when we smile.
I look short. Oh i think i'm the shortest of them all.

The prize award presentation. It is a $100 Mango voucher. :) She loves Mango.

Sharon, Bi Han and their poly ppl :)

The birthday girl said we are only allowed to put one candle on her cake.
We are all afraid of getting older when we are in our twenties haha.

:) :)

The majority of Singaporeans are Chinese. I became the translator for the Malay and Indian nurses. I have to show off my poor Hokkien. HAHA. I had to think through how to translate and then pronounce each word. My English is bad. Now it becomes badder. Really bad. I had to break up my sentences so that the elderly and the bagadeshs can understand. And I find myself speaking alot louder than usual. The elderly just can't hear me and my mask is blocking my speech.

Simba has been really tired lately. Yes, because of night shifts. Sleeping in the morning isn't doing him much help. He feels very sleepy everyday.

So that day we went to Vivocity to buy Fathers' Day present! I bought a polo T from G2000 for dad instead of the meteor garden DVD. Cos i discovered that u need to buy 4 DVDs to make it a complete set. And the polo T is 2 for $54. So jun wen bought the same shirt as tt i bought for my dad. :P

And jun Wen decided he needs COFFEE!

He ordered Hazelnut iced coffee for himself and a rasberry oreo cheesecake for me!

This looks really sinful!

Simba and me!

I'm at it again. Hopelessly addicted to shopping. When i earn more, i spend even more. omg!

I bought 2 tops and 3 dresses this mth. And it is not even the end of the mth. If u know of any shoppaholic counsellor pls give me a referral letter. i promise to make an appointment with him/her.

i bought 2 dresses at Max and Moore. Now 1st piece at $19.90 and 2nd piece at $10!

Work is so far so good. I do miss my tattoo fren. He has left the job to have more time to study for exams. But now i make 3 new more frens at work. They are nice girls. i like them! :) Can really be myself when i talked to them. They like online shopping too and gave me some webbies! I am so happy at work.

So girls, come on in! How can i resist such temptations? Omg!

I watched 'The taking of Pelham 1 2 3' with jw. Erms.. It emphasizes on conversations. Every word they say portray some hidden meanings. It is like more of a mental torture rather than a 'sight' torture. Not much of gross killing stuff. More of guessing the killer's next move. Every moment u tend to feel pity for the hostages. Which one will get killed and which one will not?

Up next! i will try to upload my jurong bird park photos asap! :P

14th june -

Jun Wen's grandma's birthday!

We went to a buffet at a ktv lounge near his house.

Some photos..

As usual, i only knew a few people there. So i sticked to Jun Wen and Jun Jie. And hid behind them.

Jun Wen, me and Jun Jie

Jun Wen just went ahead taking the food without me! :(

See that guy happily eating behind jun jie and me!!!
Jun Jie wore Jun Wen's t shirt and sometimes i nearly call the wrong name.

Their dad was outside taking shots of us.

They take photos by age group. The people from 20 yrs old to 30 yrs old!

Below 20

OOps! Me and the brothers. It looks like i am holding the wrong hand! But i am not. HAHAHA. What u see is sometimes not what u shld believe.

I found these photos recently from simba's camera. That Valentine's day his mum insisted that we must take many photos with the flowers. And she wants him to put on a nicer shirt. Haha. i took 1 out of the many.

I am having a bad sore throat now at work. But i can't see the doctor during work. If i do, then no pay! And all the doctors are just upstairs. So near yet so far!

i finished watching 'Romantic Princess' while simba was at work. Simba has found a job as an operator in a factory. He is working night shift from 11pm to 7am. This weekend Simba worked night shift for 12 hours, 7pm to 7am. And he had only 1 meal per day. Malnutrition. Friday was his off day and he woke up at 8am to go jogging. He jogs everyday. Omg! How i wish i can be like him! Hobby = jogging.

'i go jogging ok?' He would msg me. Maybe it is his way of being polite. I know even if i say no, he will still go ahead with it. He asks a question that has an answer 'yes'.

The storyline is special and short. Unpredictable. But it feels great watching it. Good sense of humor. Still like all her dresses!

i felt so touched during the whole drama.
Somehow, it makes memories more beautiful.

The first time we met. The first time i talked to u. The first time i sat beside u. A smiley shy boy who resemble a worm. Hahahahas.

I hope.. i hope we can share the same wedding photo. I love you.

Now my Pariss photos. Okie, Pariss buffet is not spelled as 'Paris the place.' i am wrong. Jun Wen spent $93 for two pax. OMG! So ex!! I was so looking forward to the great treat. My eyes watered at the sight of FOOD. Jun Wen took one plate at a time. And i can promise u we finished all the varieties there. Everything. We tried everything. Okie i didnt try any raw food of cos.

SHARK FINS SOUP

The Teriyaki prawn was heaven! Never get tired of it.

An abalone was served in a small bowl with tomato and cucumber. The combi was great.

i ate too hurriedly and hungrily. My sushi drops. Haha. It falls just in place with my cup. Like a lemon on a cocktail drink.

The cakes! My favourites! We were too full and only ate half of each cake. We sinned. :(

The peppermint ice cream still tastes very much like toothpaste!

I actually tried crocodile meat bak ku teh too. Something i didnt dare to drink whenever i went to buffets. Tasted like bak ku teh but spicier. HAHA. Trying hard not to lose face in front of simba!

I felt a sense of satisfaction after the dinner. Never knew food can be this satisfactory. SO FULL AND SO HAPPY!

TS sale! And crazy jun wen and i bought 'Alvin and the Chipmunks', 'Steel Trap', 'Romantic princess' and 'Eagle Shooting Heroes'.

DVDs were 2 for $16.

And i bought the 'Romantic Princess' drama DVD for only $14!

I'm at episode 4 now. And after Angela Chang became a princess, her dresses are all so nice!! She is wearing dresses even at home.

Even the apron is nice!

Her hair is so nicely curled. I like the cute ribbons on her hair. They make her look so sweet! Just looking at her outfits in the drama can really make my day.

6th june -
Post joe's bday celebration. Went to Manhattan Fish Market for dinner.

I wanted to take photos of the food. But Joe already posed with his creamy seafood pasta.

Me and Ling

Joe took this accidentally.

SHI XING!

Our creamy seafood pastas

Then we went for a drink at the 1741 cafe at clarke quay.
Is it 1471 or 1741? i forgot.

Ling's and my drink. I drank the cocoa express. The one on the right. Bailey, milk, coffee, tea and chocolate. The mixture in the filter funnel was bailey, milk, coffee and chocolate flakes. And the bottom was the tea. When i drank from the filter funnel, it tasted like ice coffee (erms.. obviously!) haha. When i mixed the top and the bottom, it tasted like yuan yang (coffee + tea). Obvious also! Haha. Maybe the coffee is too strong, i cant taste more Bailey. erms!!

INTERESTING!

The wasabi pizza. Although this was joe's treat, but i didnt eat it. i was too full from dinner. That was so not like the gian me.

The guys ate raw beef. OMG! Maybe they tasted better with lemon. But i will never eat raw!

And ya.. Our photos. i tagged u guys in facebook. :)

I got my anniversary present. Hehes. Other than my Pariss International, i also got a game, a DVD, chocolates and an egg mouse.

Every gift has a story.
The thoughtful boy made me so happy! He kept in mind the things i wanted to buy but gave myself many excuses not to. And he gave them to me in one shot. I always like ' The farm' game! HAHAHA. Easy to play and fun! Can build farms. No killing is needed. HAHAHAHAHA.

Then Eagle eye. I told him that during New Year, my uncle played this movie in his house for us to watch. But Dad thought it was so boring. And when the show was getting exciting, he ordered us to go to my grandma's house. So i missed the ending. And this kept me thinking about it for months. I am not exaggerating. I finally watched the whole complete movie last week, and felt so contented!! :)

Then the egg mouse. Due to my ultra scatterbrainness, (HAHA) one day, i placed my mouse in my lap top bag and then my lap top crushed the wires. And my mouse was murdered. Jun Wen then got me a wireless mouse from the IT fair. And becos i just cant synchronise the mouse with the USB port together, my mouse cursor just wont move! Angry sehs. i should go attend a course 'Complete guide to mouse idiot'
Then i guessed this high tech mouse soon lose its effect after many attempts to synchronise it with the port.
So he got me a wired egg mouse! Cute, not so high tech and easy to press. i just need to press my palm on the mouse slightly.

My useful egg mouse. This time i promise not to shorten my mouse's lifespan.

And of cos the chocolates have no story. But chocolates represent love HAHAHAAHAHAHA. Pardon me!
