Hi dears! Next Thursday will be the day I finally step out of my house and go to work like everyone else. This one-month of home-stay was a time to unwind and take things slow, although I've been grumbling about how bored I am, how slow-paced life is and missing those times where I get to travel anywhere without the bad leg holding me back. The gnawing desire to go sightseeing at Angkor Wat is driving me insane, and I promise myself that the moment I can walk without limping I will take the next earliest flight there. Lol. My training of quadricepsin physical therapy is proving to be effective, albeit the progress is quite slow. I am seriously unsure if I can walk without crutches next week. I mean I can if I want, but I still have not overcome that psychological fear of recurrent dislocation in-built in me since pre-surgery. :( -- Yachting Part II In my last entry, I forgot to include a picture of the yacht we spent our 3 hours in and here's it! Thanks Ling for this marvellous photo :D The four friends had a good time travelling in the speed boat, their expressions gave them away and once they climbed onto the deck of our yacht, the rest of us abandoned our initial unwillingness and went ahead with the ride. Joe was taught to drive the boat by the crewman. Got the crewman to take a photo of us girls when Joe took charge in motoring the boat. Miao and Ying looked really cute here! As we neared the circumference of our yacht, we caught Jun Wen and Tuck Wei making the deck their romantic rendezvous point. Lol. This reminds me of America's Top Next Model. Perhaps he should consider photography for models and this may just be the twilight of his life! The typical Titanic thing they had going on between them. A perfect opportunity for TW to aggravate me since they already have a yacht as their accomplice! I confronted JW about it after that and the evasive answer he had for me was that he was trying to soar like a bird in the sky but didn't know why TW held his waist. Yay! Yes I said "our" cos my friends helped me alot in moving my fully extended leg (I didn't have the quads strength to move the knee brace, that's how bad it was.) and supporting me to reach the deck of the yacht without any scratch or cut. Thanks friends! :D You guys are the best! They bought sushi on top of Texas chicken. Have a confession to make, which is that I chose the most expensive cooked sushi of all, the prawn sushi, to eat. Lol. Will make it up to y'all next time okie! At the foredeck. TW and Joe stood tall on the hull of the yacht just before the sky went gloomy. The rest of us gathered on the hull too. And this was the view captured from my spot. And it was nightfall. Nightfall would also mean the time to turn on the camera flash and indulge in the enjoyment of the cool sea breeze. Jun Wen got melodramatic hurtling through sea and sneezed out a long chain of scenery. Everyone were served white wine but JW hates it so I had two small glasses of it. It was a memorable moment of us girls sipping on white wine and talking about the good old times while the guys laid back and dozed off (lol they are getting old) as we sailed away towards Sentosa's "Song of the Sea" to get ready for some fireworks viewing. And the fireworks ignited at 8pm, giving a magnificent display of the perfect sound and visual combination! :D
The Big Bang Theory Season 5. I wanted to watch Season 5 bit by bit, hoping that the 24 episodes wouldn't end so quickly so that my every day will be spent in my room with laughter. However I'm going bonkers watching only 2 episodes that runs for approximately 20 minutes each for a day, so I ended up watching the whole of Season 5 in 2 days and am now replaying the episodes one by one. It just never gets old. :D Also started on Season 6. Here is one part of Season 5 Episode 10 that I really enjoy, the part where Sheldon got jealous of Amy dating Stuart, went to the cinema to interrupt their date and asked Amy to agree in the advancement of their current relationship status which was to switch from "his friend who is a girl" to his girlfriend. Now onto the 11th episode of The Walking Dead Season 2. Am in love with the series as it has painted out a picture of people's changing attitudes to one another, and demonstration of distrust and cruelty to situations in times of desperation during the zombie apocalypse. How will you react when faced with a catastrophe like this? Will you run as fast as you could when many zombies are swarming towards you and your loved one(s)? Or would u stay to get them out of danger even if your life is at the expense of the fight? Will you give up on a search for a little girl lost in the woods with little chance of survival due to the occasional appearance of the walking dead in the night (you may just die looking for her) or will you persevere in finding her so as to do the right thing? Does your moral still hold in such times or do you kill the living from other survival groups just to stay alive? Watch it watch it. Went for Daniel's solemnisation at St Patrick's Church, then for a planned cruise at Marina@Keppel Bay and lastly for Daniel's wedding dinner at Orchid Country Club. I forgot about his wedding date and promised Miao that I would turn up for the cruise outing way in advance but after much compromise from Daniel and Miao (Told Daniel I will be late for the dinner and Miao moved forward the cruise schedule), I've got a good and well-planned schedule ahead of me. Thought gonna spent about $60 just on cab fare but spent much lesser as Wei Jian drove me and Jun Wen from the church to meet my friends and then from the wedding dinner back home! Thanks Wei Jian and congratulations Daniel! Gonna blog about our expedition! :D A layout of where the cruising will be. Joe diligently filling in our particulars. Followed by Wan soon after. And look at those expressions on Joe and Jun Wen to welcome the bunch of hardworking friends, Ling, Ying, TW and SX who just arrived from a taxi after buying food from Vivo. Took pains to persuade Jun Wen into allowing me to go for the events planned that day and the least I could promise him that I will take care of myself was to bring along my crutch. I was one stubborn person. Here was me, my crutch and Jun Wen my other crutch against the magnificent backdrop of Marina@Keppel Bay. Maxi dress to hide the knee brace and was pretty glad that maxi dresses happen to be the in-thing now and are pretty easy to shop for. You can practically find a wide array of them in every ladies clothing shops. Here is Ling looking radiant and happy for the long awaited ride, adding on to our excitement! Just realized that the background was pretty busy with Wan who is bending down to pick up something brought to a certain extent a chain of surprised reactions/expressions from Ying, Miao and Shixing. After we got into the yacht and listened attentively to the instructions given by the captain, we were ready to explore the waters and enjoy the scenic view. Wine glasses were neatly aligned on the table top waiting for us to pick them up. The curiosity in us once we saw this steering system sparked a series of questions to ask the captain, mostly questions on our safety if we played with it. Miao and Wan were about to walk down the stairs for an exploration of the 3 bedrooms and the toilet. Ying, Ling and I in one of the bedrooms. On the corner of a table we found a few of the games most commonly played in cafes like The Settlers' Cafe. Cool~ The shower room. Ling pointed out to me that the shower gel and shampoo are from L'Occitane! :D A guitar on the sofa to console the moods of lonely souls. If my younger bro the guitar maniac came along, he would be more than glad to play the songs he has been practising day and night for us. He would like to be called "The Captain of the Ship." After much admiration of the cabins, we made our way to the weather deck to catch a breather. Could feel the strong breezy wind ruffling my hair as we proceeded. With the help of a blanket he transformed into a Tibet monk. The guys were already up there having a wine feast lol. Joe was just back from his reservist in Australia and looking exceptionally tanned. His first time attempting pink prints on his tee gave us a pleasant surprise but this also implied an ignition of a sudden change in him after Australia. Lol. We wondered what exactly happened in Australia! Captain of the yacht was very amicable and provided great service to us by serving us wine in the fastest time possible lol. I love capturing shots of other yachts while in one myself. Yachts are majestic vessels aren't they? He found the most comfortable place to rest his legs but faked a vexed expression for no reason. Up on the deck was where the real boat steering took place! Texas chicken as dinner. We intended for a pot luck but SX suggested getting together at Vivo to buy food together before the cruise and I was thankful for that since my tight schedule didn't allow me to allocate some time for food purchases. We sailed to an island before stopping for some swimming, kayaking and speed boating. A few yachts were also stopped in adjacent to us. Cam-whoring is a must in places like this taking advantage of the fine weather and the scenic view. Without any prior notice, Wan went kayaking, and his tremendous speed of wearing the life jacket, climbing down into the kayak and then kayaking amazed us. We were still on the deck of the yacht deciding who gets to hop onto the speed boat. TW likes brightly-coloured shirts alot. I dunno if it's a same birthday thing or what because I like wearing vibrant colours too. The four who climbed onto the speedboat first after they decided to push away the thought of getting wet after that. Jun Wen is always there for the camera. When the four was happily speeding away from us in their small boat, the rest of us took more photos! The thoughtful crew brought chairs for us to watch our friends sail away. SX commented that they looked like illegal immigrants sailing half the globe to Singapore. And yup that's part 1! Sorry if I left out some nice details as Jun Wen was talking to me the whole time and saying that I wasn't paying attention, and I wasn't in the expertise of multi-tasking. Oh well.. He is staying in my house for awhile until the toilets in his house are fully renovated. Yup, his flat is going through upgrading at the moment. :D He was actually asking for my suggestions on what to buy my mum to repay her hospitality for these days he stayed and will be staying in my house. And i was just nodding my head all the while lol.
