Am sick. Diahorrea! Omg. God, please let me get well soon :)

I totally describe the Human Resource Executive in True Yoga as an inhuman job! Lols!

My job as a HR Assistant was certainly much better.

My poor colleagues worked OT till 9 or 10pm everyday. Almost got down to my knees and 'pai' them lols!

The WORKAHOLICS! Work is so overloaded for them. They are shorthanded! :( All my colleagues and single and not married. 2 of them are in their early 30s, 1 in her late 30s and 1 older than me by a year. I guessed work has taken up too much of their life. :(

2 are quitting and on a search for a new job. I'm sort of happy for them lols. It's time to knock off at 6pm every weekday and get a life after that! My attachment company's culture was everyone packing their bags by 5 50pm and by 6 30pm there wont be anyone left in the whole office!

Okie, i admit i got OT everyday also. But the most i can go is 8 plus. And if i got tuition later on, i wont stay after 7pm. I told Carine and she was saying, "That means you're earning $$ every moment?" Ya, kind of! Only not earning any on Sundays. I need to work hard so that by next year i can concentrate on my last semester and not have tuition anymore. :)

I have learnt so much from this job. A sense of satisfaction! Now i know how the HR dept works.

Everyday i have different things to do! My job scope is actually only filing, shed some papers, or help the executives buy coffee. And that is $8/hr LOLS. Because of the shortage of staff, my jobscope widened and i took over the executive job.

The overall picture of what i've been doing:

True Yoga Pte Ltd actually covers True Yoga, True Fitness, True Fitness (STC), True Spa and True-Est. :)

6 clubs in True Fitness (Vivo, Suntec, Great World City, Parkway Parade, China Square & Chrevon).

3 depts in each club: Fitness, Operations and Sales ;P

-Punctuality Report

Check the employee's timesheets, punchcards and biometric attendances. The report was done to inform how much to deduct from the employee's pay if he/she took unpaid leave, unpaid MC etc. Result: Cross-eyed from looking at the dates and time they clock in and out.

Verify with the Fitness Managers about the dates that were missing from the timesheets.
I realise that the clubs have many ma fan employees! LOLS. Especially the Fitness dept. The Fitness Instructors just keep taking unpaid leaves, leaving early from work, or MIA halfway from the week! When the Fitness Managers didnt reply our emails, we can CC their bosses and they will reply within minutes! lols! I dont like to keep irritating them, but the deadline for submitting the report is near. Have to call and hurry them.

And next time before u call a HR to ask about when your pay is coming, think twice! Cos my colleagues are so fan by the amt of calls they have to take a day. They will scold some vulglar before picking up the calls and say "Hello morning, True Yoga" in their sweetest voices. lols.

The phone just keep ringing, and i think they are going crazy.

- Leave application

Help employees apply for leave using the TIMES payroll software.

- Part time staff

Tabulate the salaries for the part time staff.

-Detailed Summary Report

Go through all employees. Take note of deduction of pays, promotions, demotions, reservist leaves, transfer etc, enter into Times and record them in excel sheet.

File all documents into the month's file. Make a photocopy of each document and file the original copy into the employees' personal file. Hey, i didnt know there was such a thing called personal file. Your personal file contains your resume, the photocopy of your IC and bank book, your leave forms, your letters, .. everything about u! Thus, i seem to know all the employees personally even without seeing them.

- Session Summary Report

Calculate commissions for each fitness instructor, personal trainer, membership consultant etc.

Each form contains the client's signature, the amt of sessions he/she attends and the fee they pay.

One session (1hr) costs $70 - $100! And so cute! The instructors will write (chest), (shoulder), (back), (legs) beside each session. That means they focus on teaching how to train the chest for one session and the shoulder for another.

-Put up job advertisements & collect resumes.

Ask the agent to draft out advertisements according to your request. Collect resumes and forward them to the respective heads. I look through the resumes everyday and wanna have some for reference to apply for my first job!

The Yoga instructor's resumes are the scariest. They attach their photos of how they just use their hands to flip upside down or some weird positions.

The Web & Graphic designer's resumes come along with the portfolios. NICE!

- Schedule interviews.

I help the dept heads schedule interviews. Whenever i called the shortlisted candidates, i can practically hear them smiling over the phone. After a few rings, they will definitely pick up the phone. I guess they must be waiting beside the phone at home. lols.
I became streetdirectory.com as the candidates will call me up if they cannot find their way here.

- Reference check

The most interesting thing i did was reference check. Before they hire someone, they will ask me to call his previous employer and ask about his character and work performance. There will be a series of questions to ask. Most employers are not very willing to give high rates on the points.

Like when i say, "Rate the following with numbers 1 to 5. 5 being the highest and 1 being the lowest."

"How well can he/she handle emotions, pressure or stress if any?"
And they will reply, "I would say a 3."
"Does he/she have managerial, supervisory and leadership skills?"
"3"

It's always 3.. seldom a 4 and never a 5.

When i ask about his strong points, they will say a few encouraging words. But when i ask about his weak points, they will say, "Overall i think he is average. Every point that u mentioned just now has a room for improvement."

dots! After all, the employers are of high position and it takes a secretary before i can reach them. Of course they have high expectations!

- Biometric Registration
To help the new comers register their fingerprints.
The fitness instructors are very handsome lols lols! We will happen to pass by them when they come.

A few other reports to be done:

- Gross and Nett Commission Report
- Bank/Cheques Listing Report
- Transport Allowances Report
- Gross and Nett payout Report

Some food reviews:

We went to Mei Meong Yuen Dessert at Ion Orchard B2! The desserts cost within the range of $5 - $7. It's always packed.

The cropped top is what i bought from New Look. Love it :)

The Mocha Snowshake. NICE
It feels like u are sipping a piece of very thin piece of coffee each time. 4.5/5

The vietnamese snack. Prawn roll from Ion Orchard B2.
Yes, it looks raw and tastes raw! Eeeeeeeeeeww!

Drinks at the Coffee Club. My first time to the Coffee Club. Pathetic!

Simba and his Ice Rambutan.
It was late in the evening so simba cant drink anything coffee at the Coffee Club. If not, he wont be able to sleep at night.

My Mocha Tropica
Fruity mocha smells and tastes awesome.

Day 2 part 2 - Sun Yat Sen Memorial Hall

We arrived at the Sun Yat Sen Memorial Hall around 11+ am! Was ahead of the iternary schedule. lols. Our next stop was Taipei City Hall main station underground mall and was glad that we will get to spend more time there.

The vending machine weird drink with the cute sign!

We saw youngsters practising their dance steps all around the building. Unlike the Zhong Zheng Memorial Hall, this Memorial Hall doesn't have much visitors. We saw the locals having camps and the orientation mentors trying so hard to get their campers interested lols! So cute when they recite the dance steps in Chinese!

"pao pao pao pao!"

It is a place where we can see the Taiepi 101 building standing so tall. It looked as though it's touching the sky.

Love the bronze structure.
Nicely curved :)
Salute the sculptor.

THE SUN IS REALLY GLARING AND BURNING US!
See me squirming my eyes!

;)
Looking so blend in with him. lols.

The mobile store selling balloons and kites. NICE!
Simba was so scared that i get beaten up by the store owner for secretly taking photos of her store. I thought tt was ok.

I love this photography angle.
Like a neoprint with the background of the memoriall hall. Simba thought of this idea and i really agree that the effect is awesome.

Caught in the act of stamping all the pictures to bring back home.

His study desk. So retro right!

The phone stand again. lols.

The wise man beside me. Hoping that he will leave me with his wits.

Rush Hour 4.

We left the memorial hall and walked to a garden where taipei 101 was so near!

Simba said it grows from my head. lols!
The lamp post grows from his.

We thought we reached Taipei City Hall mrt but we were so wrong! Hahas. This building behind us was actually the Science Discovery Center. lols. The moment we enter, we could hear screaming kids before we saw them.

This was what's inside the building.
We kept looking at signs but couldnt get any info about the underground mall.

We just make do with whatever we saw and took photos. Before we actually realise we were not in the right place when we studied the map.

We were on our way again and i saw this lovely garden. So pretty!

We passed by New York New York shopping mall and wanna go in to grab a bite. It is like Isetan inside. Saw an interesting tee in it. Its printed design actually changes color in the sun. Costs SGD 35 each. Didnt buy in the end as we thought the designs were too cute for us.

The sky walk to taipei 101!

We finally chose a cafe to have our lunch at. Simba wanna find a local cafe with local food but we actually didnt find one! We found American, Japanese, Korean and Hong Kong cafes instead lols.

We chose a brunch set meal each. The soup was really weird. I think it was some egg with egg white spread on top. I called it the egg soup. No comments.

To be continued! :)
