The 2nd day at Langkawi.
The buffet breakfast was great! There were plenty of varieties of food.
I highly recommend going to this hotel for a fantastic stay. But it would be better if u wait for the Groupon discount. Lol. If not, it would cost a bomb!

I didn't know why he took cereals!

I copied him to take some too.

Then after breakfast, we went around the hotel to take more pictures.

The beach was peaceful and many coconut trees stood on it. A scenic view we had.

A cafe by the beach.

Love this photo! Felt so relaxed just lying on the suntanning bench and under the coconut tree. Lol.

Taking a walk back from the beach to the hotel.

Our room is a Studio Suite in the Sea Villa.

We decided to walk back to our room this time, without asking a buggy to send us. This was so that we could take nice photos on the way back.

I am wearing a Slouchy Striped Top from Voguelabel, a blogshop newly opened by Jun Wen's friend, Shirley. She was his hall mate and I knew her a little too since she stayed beside me for half a year in Hall 10. She is a really nice chirpy girl! Hope u like something from there too! :D

The Aroma Spa room just few rooms away from ours.

Played with my camera effects~ Nice!

Monochrome!

:D

And finally we were back into our room.
Love the balcony, but I wondered how visitors stayed out there for long, since the weather is so hot!
They just sipped beers and have chats out there. We couldn't bring ourselves to do that as we predicted sunburns once we reached Singapore.

It was a forced smile. Lol. Couldn't stand the heat at the balcony.

Then before checking out, we went around the villa to enjoy this on-the-sea feeling.

Then he went to change into a tank top just to take photos. Lols.
He just wanted to look slack.

And he bid goodbye to our door.

Then it was time for checking out. On the buggy. It was always a bumpy ride but I managed to take non-shaky photos. Cool!
And we decided to try a ride at the Go-Kart next.
A 2-rider costs RM60 for ten minutes! Simba wanted to have us each ride one cart but I insisted on a 2-rider. Lol. I'm so afraid of getting injured!

We had to put on a hair net and a helmet before we started our ride.

The Go-Kart track. We were the only ones racing at that moment.
He can control the steering wheel, the accelerator and the brakes while I could only steer left or right.
He was accelerating most of the time and I was holding on tight to my steering wheel. Lol.

He was conscious of the camera pointing at him.

Not looking on the track.

My turn for a photo.

Then the cab driver drove us to the Underwater World.

Compared to the Underwater World in Sg, theirs have more marine animals to see. I remembered taking less than 2 hours in our Underwater World.

He told me to take a shot as soon as the fish swam to his palm.

Exploring the marine animals species.
He is more of the Dora the Explorer than I am.
I think of him as the pet monkey that Dora owns.

This black swan was just posing in a dry area next to the pond. It wasn't shy and didn't shun any visitors. It just sat there with elegance. Lol.

We saw an unhealthy scene happening in the pond. The flamingos shunned the poor black swan. They looked at one another making sounds. It was as though that the they were discussing about separating the pond into territories.

Simba found a lonely penguin and played with it. He changed my mind about visiting the animals. I thought animals behind enclosures are supposed to be viewed from far and not be touched. He went ahead to interact with them, whether is it by sounds or actions. Lol. He made sounds that sounded awkward and didn't care if other human visitors were staring at him. Lol.

A wallpaper for us to take photos in front of it. It looked as though we were in Antarctica. I shut my eyes in retreat to the cold. Lol.

We saw the penguin leader standing tall on a higher rock, discussing the agenda of the meeting.

Then a nice staff helped us to take a group photo. :D We survived Antarctica!
The service in Langkawi is really great. I was utterly surprised since the Johor and KL people weren't as friendly. I think Langkawi has gotten too touristy!

They would volunteer to take at least 2 photos of us. :D

The souvenir shop.

Pui Haan laughed hard when she saw this photo. She thought it was cute and that I really looked like a fat grumpy child hugging a penguin.

I told him umpteen times not to touch the tortoises and this advice has always fallen into deaf ears. Lol. I didn't want him to scare them or make unhygienic actions.
A warning sign which warns visitors against touching the tortoises was situated next to the pond. Simba, upon seeing the sign got really excited about touching them instead. He was trying to get the tortoises to respond in trying to bite him. Lol. But what we saw was that they immediately retreat into their shells.
One even dived deep into the pond and was seen by 2 other visitors who laughed at Simba.

Jellyfish again. My fave marine animal! :D
And we saw a nearby restaurant on our map. He wanted to walk there again but this time luckily, it wasn't far.

We ordered too much spicy and deep fried stuff. Ended up not being able to finish all.

We were really full when we left the restaurant, but despite that we went for a foot massage at Happy Happy Spa. Lie on our backs for an hour, which was going to make us fatter.
According to him, the massage was comfortable and relaxing. It wasn't so for me since it hurts. My masseuse used all her might to press my foot down. First time ever in my life I did a massage that hurts so much.

Unique tents of the Pasa Malam. I bought a pair of leggings from there since the sales lady was so nice!
It costs about SGD10. And after this buy, we almost didn't have enough for the cab ride back to our hotel. Lol. Simba didn't buy anything throughout the trip. [I bought a bag and a pair of leggings. Oops!]

After the massage, we went back to our hotel to take our luggage. He had to say a sad goodbye to the hotel.

While waiting for the bellboy to unload our luggages, we took a self shot. He was fascinated by "New Sunday Times"!

The buggy that sent us to and fro the Sea Villa and the front porch of the hotel.

We were ready to fly back to Singapore.
The Langkawi airport was a very small one and quite rundown. Oops.

It was 2 flights before we can get back to Singapore.
We spent sometime shopping a the souvenir shop at the airport. It sells souvenirs at very high price! Twice the price of what I think they are worth.
Simba suggested going for another massage at the airport since we still had another hour to spare. But after seeing people limping once they got out of the spa shop, I was convinced that I didn't want to go in there just for a torture. Lol.

While waiting to board the plane.

On our return flight, we were satisfied that the plane was more furnished and has a TV at our seats. Lol.

My verdict was... Langkawi is definitely a place to visit at least once in your lifetime. Best place to go to with your friends!
