26th may--

York Hotel to receive our Merit award In IES (Insitute of Engineers' Singapore).
It is a cheque of $50 (to be spilt between 6 of us) and a certificate.

We were late and by the time we reached the prize presentation already ended. We didnt know that there was lunch provided. The hall has about 12 tables filled with people. It seemed like a wedding dinner with 6 main courses and 1 dessert. Nice food! i don't have chances to eat good food like this all the time.

Most were businessman either members of IES or looking for diploma holders to work in their companies.

As we were late, the 6 of us didn't manage to sit together. Mi and ting were surrounded by businessman. SCARY.. Although they were pretty friendly, but it is sort of awkward and kind of stressed. We just replied what they asked and kept quiet most of the time, smiling occasionally.

Went to meet wei der after that. Because of Great Singapore Sale, he is bored stiff. But once i bought him a new pair of shoes for $79, he was smiling all day long. His old shoes were old enough to stay at his house for display purposes only. hAha.

He has a $50 Robinsons voucher and used it on LEGO police car and a shirt that is designed with lots of lines. i tink that is the 100th shirt he has with many lines on it. hahas.

i finally understood how he feels when he were searching for his fave LEGO set. i sat down on the floor of the toys section and wait.. wait... wait.... Luckily there were many cute children for me to look at. hahas!

Blossoms is having a 10% discount for all tops, 20% for all dresses.

In Cineleisure, there is a particular shop opposite 'Hula and Co' selling all tops for $10 and all dresses $20.

I bought 3 spags at Giordano for $33. There wasn't many varieties of colors. Those nicer colors were only left with L or XL. i was there scrooping for sizes.

27th may --

Went to Serangoon Central to accompany wei der for a haircut. i haven finish reading 'Female' and he is done. SAD.. i always like to read free mags at salon. hahas.

Took passport sized photo together! He is very clever taking his photo just after his haircut.

His current driving license dont have his photo liaos, thanks to his care. haha!!

Recently a few uncles have been calling my hp to look for "Mr Loo" and "Kelvin".

The previous owner of 91724814 is very nice not to inform his frens that he changed his number! HAHAs. Can't stand him! Waste my effort picking up the phone and said "wrong number" all the time.

This mth i got extra $450. $200 given by ah gong (united BMEC prize) and $250 from my saving plan. i've saved for 2 years with $37.65 per mth. Then the following years i will be receiving $250 every May from AIA.

Went for supper with shellen after work at the24hr Prata shop. It was a misunderstanding again! I tot she msg me "supper" but she said she msg me "shopping" this week. hahas!

we had girl talk till 1 30am. And i only slept and 4am as the Teh Chino Ice at the prata shop is too powderful for me. i had caught plenty of ghosts by 4am.

went orchard with wei der! we took neo prints but he kept all in his album, not leaving one for me!

i wanted to buy shoes for him as an anni present but he kept rejecting. He said we shall wait till the Great Singapore Sale then i buy. hahas. that was a good thought too. Since it will be coming in a few days' time. :P

Cold storage only has the advertisement but no signs of the cans.

We finally found 'Whatever' in Carrerfour (SHIT, i realise i dunno how to spell it) . There were 2 cans placed on the shelf. then after we made a round in the supermarket, there was only 1 left. 70 cents to try an experience. we had a taste of what green tea + lemon honey is like. hahas!

23th may --

My graduation day!
My parents came with me. :)

i was too excited to go on stage to take photo and receive my cert. too excited till 2 lecturers came forward to calm me down while i was quening up to go onstage.

This time i didn't walk awkardly nor drop my cert on stage! hahas. (i have learnt my last lesson!)

Feel like VIP that day. got to put on a robe that looked like wat Harry Porter would wear. Lecturers were ushering us. then i got my robe adjusted by a lecturer while quening up. Got our photos taken by professional photographer.. Coursemates clapped for us. Got congratulaed by our lecturers!

i got my testimonial! it was titled:

HAHAs! it seemed to me like, " to whoever cares,"
Maybe next time if i have a chance to write testimonial, i will start with that too!

And i realised that my lecturer has a template to do the testimonial. My first two paragraphs were the same as ting. only with the name changed.

Then see the last sentence:

"I am confident that Hui Jin has a bright future ahead."

Everyone has the same last ending sentence! He just copy and paste the names.. "i am confident that blah blah blah has a bright future ahead."

And my graduation cert finally!

YEAHS! i am officially an ex student of Temasek Polytechnic! i will miss everything there! my classmates, lecturers, food, classrooms and so on..

Went to watch 'Pirates of the Carribean' after that! 2hr 45mins. Butt hurts!











Difficult to understand the storyline.. But i will still give a review score of 4.5/5 because of Johnny Depp (Captain Jack Sparrow) and its graphics! Captain Jack's sissy style neber changes!

After 2 long sleepless nights, i finally managed to sleep well.

Poor wei der has been staying over at my house these days to make sure i am ok.

The nights were torturing. i had so many thoughts in my mind that i couldn't sleep.






So in the middle of the night, i went to my room and watch wei der sleep soundly and dropped some tears onto his face for few hours before i managed to sleep.. ZzzzZz.. Luckily he was not disturbed by me. hahas.

Finally i slept! :)

I have a new idol in Pastamania. MY new Cook, Ah Loy. A Malaysian who looked like a jApanese! He has a fair face with red cheeks! (bai li tou hong) . Will cook up an excuse to take photo with him one day!

18th may -


i failed.

In circuit i managed to not get any demerit points.
But sway things happened to the sway me.






On my way out of the circuit, i stop at the zebra crossing. i look left, look right, then left again. nobody. then this guy was dashing all ahead and beside my car.. After i confirm that he not crossing the road, i move a little then he suddenly dashed across the road. DOTS! idiot lO..

Then i lost my confidence! i know i will sure fail..







then got 1 immediate failure..

i tot i can turn right before the straight going vehicle gets to me. POOR JUDGEMENT. i managed to do so but the tester said i shld slow down, giving way to it... and that i shldn't let it slow down. becos of this, i got many points deducted like neber give way, neber slow down, improper position at junctions etc.. 24 points.



DISAPPOINTED with myself.



My instructor told me before the test that as long as i maintain my standard i will pass. BUt i disappoint him.. i thank him for all the scoldings he has given me. hahas!





i kept apologising to him after the test. he was quite disappointed i guess. once i took my results slip to him he smiled and asked, "pass liaos ahs?'


i was like 'sorry.. i failed..'



He said sometimes it's becos of the different judgements made by me and the tester. To the tester i may not execute safety acts enough. So he concluded that i have gained an important experience and be more confident next test.







he said i will learn from him again in mid june. A few more lessons b4 i take my re test in august. This time no buying of new things to pamper myself frm june to aug. Going to pay for my own lessons!



if i say i am not upset, i am lying. Tears welled up in my eyes on my way back home.
But they never roll down my face.. Cos after i saw many frens' msgs, i felt better.. much better i guess..!





it's ok to fail.. as long as i keep trying, i will pass someday! jia you!!




My dad called me and once i told him i failed, he laughed so loudly. Same reaction as my mum. they are so bad!





But they said they will sponsor my fees till i passed... But NO!! i wont take a single cent frm them for my fees anymore..



God has blessed me with good parents.



BUt.. i knew they have spoiled me.. i am still over protected by them..








Whenever dad is at home he will take food to my table then took my empty plates wanting to wash for me.. Times and times again i had to remind him that i will take my own food and wash my own dishes but he always forgot.




then when i fall sick, he fed me panadol, take me to the doctor etc.



first days of school - pri sch, sec sch and poly he took me there. now he wants to take me to NTU on my 1st day of school.. DOTs!







i only know how to suan them.. ooOo.. it's time to learn to be more independent.. i promised to do more household chores for my mum!! i don't want to be a pampered baby anymore! i am already 20, not 2..!

13TH MAY -

Went out with ling and ying!



Wanted to prepare joe's card. ling painted his card! :) creative girl!




We ate at NYDC.

We had crazes for baked pastas and rice!

The following are wat we had:


me - posh spice (mushroom and ham in garlic sauce with fresh cut chillies) ..


Ling - mushroom ham (same as mine, but hers without chilli).


Ying - hawaiian baked rice. (ham and pineapple in tomato sauce)


We shared a dessert. It is named: '.... granny, seriously'

It is a marshmallow oreo cake! look very nice rites?

After we decided what to order, Ying closed her menu & looked at me, followed by Ling who said, "Jing, order ba.." hahas.

Tink those who know me will know that i need to revise what to say before ordering. If not my tongue will twist.

So i revised 'posh spice' and managed to pronounce it slowly without losing face.

Ling taught me something! U can actually kapo postcards frm restuarants! I didn't know that. And she went to th corner of the restuarant and kapo a few for me!

18th may is approaching. My big day! Driving Test day! Faintz*






I told my mum if i fail the rest of the lesson fees i pay. Maybe becos i took my parents' money for granted that i learnt with an insincere attitude.




Ting and i have followed the legend of shaking jia liang's hand before our tests. He is the first one who passed among us. And those who shook his hands passed.
i do hope this legend remains true.




Pls wish me luck girls! hehes.

Just went online to accept Bioengineering from NTU after receiving Electrical Engineering from NUS. Been considering seriously these days.

Although Ivan is going to be in Elec Eng (ting and dan knows why), but i can't give up my ocean because of one sotong..

And although Ntu may have many lecturers from China, i may not understand their English, but .. my interest is still on bioeng.. Somemore NTU has many poly students. more chinese speaking! i like i like!

Went to watch 'Bridge to Terrabithia' with ling at cineleisure Cathay. She told me that in her survey all my sistas chose gv as their fave cinema except me. (I chose Cathay!)

And pls.. if u intend to watch that movie, don't think about it anymore! it's too 'artistic'

WE WENT RIVERSIDE INDOESIAN RESTUARANT. WE CHOSE $15++ PER PERSON PACKAGE. THERE'RE MANY DISHES, ALL SERVED ON NASI LEMAK PLATES.

THINKING BACK, I REGRETTED TALKING TOO MUCH AND NOT EATING MUCH. HAHAS! I TINK I ONLY ATE SOTONGS THE MOST. POOR TING HAS TO HELP ME SCOOP THEM ALL THE TIME. HAHAS.





WE WANTED TO GO PUBS/CLUBS AFTER THAT. WERE JUST STROLLING AND COULDN'T DECIDE WHERE TO GO.

WE WERE AT THE ENTRANCE OF MOS BUT DIDN'T GO IN. JASON'S GF WAS UNDERAGED. AND THINKING THAT ONCE WE STEPPED IN, WE HAVE TO DANCE, I FREAKED OUT. HAHAS! SO .. I TINK.. I SORT OF PERSUADE THEM TO GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!

Then 1 of them suggested 'Eski Bar' .. the one wei der took me to b4. Evidence that they've seen my blog.

I ordered 'chocolate martini! very bitter sehs. but thinking that a small glass of cocktail costs $15, I swallowed it down slowly. hey.. that's wat every auntie would do k?

Went to eat Teochew rice in Upper Serangoon after work! :) It was opened 24 hrs around my area, other than Mac and Prata shops. Wei Der chose the following dishes:

My fave!

A little upset that Spiderman Peter Parker becomes really bad this time. Arrogance and overconfidence has made him another person. Yups.. I know I shld accept that heroes make mistakes too. After all they are still human beings.

I like some messages in the movie like, “Everyone has a choice. When you are angry u have a choice. Whether to forgive.”

Before that we went to Thai Express in City Link. The air con was down for the whole building. And customers walking in the restaurant will get warned about it 1st. And most of them walked out upon hearing the news.

Well.. wei der and I got cheated. No one told us anything. I was perspiring while eating my tom yum seafood glass noodles. I was thinking.. I seldom perspire.. but maybe my sweat pores become bigger that day.. until wei der over heard the manager talking then we found out the truth.

And the waiter took the wrong order for our dessert. We ordered Red Bean Thai Dessert but he mistook it as Mango Rice. I dunno how but he just did. We, as kind customers, didn’t tell him about the mistake. We tried our mango glutinous rice dipped in coconut milk. NICE!

The happiest people doesn’t have the best of everything. They just make the best of everything.

It suits me well. i managed to make use of every space to put my cards. Few of them must have known that i told them i bought myself a $2.50 wallet so as to buy wei der a b'day gift: a $62.90 wallet. hahas. :P





I splurged this month!








I bought myself a b'day gift! U know opposite my work place.. there is TS, the DVD/VCD shop. They have 50% discount for certain VCD sets now. i dragged wei der in to dig for the VCDs i want. Maybe i will be lucky.. i found 'ENGINE' and 'Mr Fighting'. But in the end i didn't buy cos i'm not that interested. But wei der found 'Ai Sha Shi Qi' . 20% discount. $25.50!













i wanted to put it back into the shelf after much consideration. U know.. i know i will put it aside after watching it. But wei der stopped me! So i give myself away to temptation and regard it as my bday gift.








2nd may -


Went J8 with shellen. We had dinner in Ding Tai Feng! Miao told me that this restuarant has the best 'xiao long bao' in the world. BUT..... shellen and i beg to differ that day. HAHAs.

We used $18 to buy a lesson cum experience and changed our dining place to Thai Express!
