i kapo miao's comics and Da vinci Code to keep me out of boredom at home, if i am even at home.
We took cab back to Ying's house, took out our past photos and laughed about them. i was so horrified by how i look like in sec sch. i have already forgotten about it when the photos reminded me. that was like 8 years ago! 21 - 13 = 8!
HAHA. IS THAT ME?!!
i took some photos back home to scan. But i cant show u alot cos i didnt have the face to. haha.
Miao said we should feature our ugliest group photo and our present nicest group photo together. And ask others to vote for the girl who change the most! HAHA
She also said although we have changed in physical looks, but our background bones are still ah gong ah dai. We were ah gong ah dai and we are now the trendy ah gong ah dai. LOL!

Ying, Miss Da Jie Da, coaxed me to wear a dress on sat. For my post bdae celebration. No t shirts and shorts or jeans allowed! Yes MADAM! i dont want to be hacked by your 'car-kia.' (i realised i should be a Hokkien, not a Hainanese.)
... Now for the sad part.....
Miao told me about this Australian, Josef Fritzel, who locked her daughter Elizabeth in an underground dungeon for 24 years. Under his house. Once in every 3 days, he raped her. He has been raping hr since she was 11. She tried to escape twice but was caught by her dad.
The dungeon is unlit. She survived for 24 years without light! And she was at 1st handcuffed for 2 days and then attached to a leash so that she could go to the bathroom. She had 7 children with her father. Her children watched their father rape her.
Her dad told her mum that their daughter left home at 18.
3 of her children were brought back home by her dad. This guy lied to his wife that their daughter left these 3 children at their doorsteps. And they led a happier life then the other 3 in the dungeon (1 died soon after birth). They are talented but look extremely alike.
The other children locked in the dungeon with Elizabeth..
Due to their lack of exposure to sunlight, the former captives are extremely pale and cannot endure natural light. The captives all have vitamin D deficiencies and are anaemic. They are likely to have underdeveloped immune systems, although it is yet to be determined whether their immune systems have suffered permanent damage.
Due to the low ceilings, Stefan walks with a permanent hunch and Kerstin is described as having a "cramped physical posture". The youngest child prefers to crawl, although he can walk.
The children communicate with each other through a combination of speech and animal sounds, including growling and cooing, while the concentration required to make themselves intelligible to others appears to have an exhausting effect.
Elisabeth is reported to appear far older than her 42 years. The oldest, Kerstin, currently hospitalized, has lost most of her teeth. Doctors report that she is in an artificially induced coma but her condition is no longer life-threatening.
After i finally read Xia Xue's blog (http://www.xiaxue.blogspot.com/), i was really upset. Set nto depression.
Poor Elizabeth. She led a life that no one can ever imagine. 24 long years of torture and i am not even 24. She gave birth without any painkillers. A strong woman. She must be thinking of dying all the time.
The world has so many horrible, terrifying people.
People can eat other people. People died of starvation everyday. People can be at war for many years because of terriorities, resources and conflicts. People can be terriorists because of the differences in skin colour. One man's greed can lead to thousands of people dying.
My pastor told us about this doctor who helped to take care of injured soldiers during a war. He committed suicide after he saw thousands of soldiers dying everyday. And he can't do anything about it. He can't forgive himself.
On Good Friday, Pastor Kong preached about some things that i want to share:
Unforgiveness keeps the pain alive.
Unforgiveness produces bitterness.
Depression is anger turned inwardly.
Anger gives a foothold for the devil.
Research have shown that people with constant anger, ther chances of irregualar heart beat increase by 30%, heart attack below the age of 55 increase too, and chances of getting heart diseases increase by 5 times!
Is it worth feeling bitter?
Don't keep pain in your heart. Let go of that hurt. Don't block blessings!
We see forgivers as weak people, unforgivers as strong people. But it's not true. Refusing to forgive robs me of joy of living in my soul. Unforgiveness refuese to let the wound heal. Unforgiveness is not just a sin, it is an infection.
Forgiveness sets us free.
Let go of that hurt, so that..
Disappointment becomes new appointment.
Tombstone becomes new stepping stone.
Stumbering block becomes starting block for my life.
:)
