13TH MAY -

Went out with ling and ying!



Wanted to prepare joe's card. ling painted his card! :) creative girl!




We ate at NYDC.

The two unique cats behind ying!




We had crazes for baked pastas and rice!

The following are wat we had:


me - posh spice (mushroom and ham in garlic sauce with fresh cut chillies) ..


Ling - mushroom ham (same as mine, but hers without chilli).


Ying - hawaiian baked rice. (ham and pineapple in tomato sauce)


We shared a dessert. It is named: '.... granny, seriously'

It is a marshmallow oreo cake! look very nice rites?

After we decided what to order, Ying closed her menu & looked at me, followed by Ling who said, "Jing, order ba.." hahas.

Tink those who know me will know that i need to revise what to say before ordering. If not my tongue will twist.

So i revised 'posh spice' and managed to pronounce it slowly without losing face.

Ling taught me something! U can actually kapo postcards frm restuarants! I didn't know that. And she went to th corner of the restuarant and kapo a few for me!

18th may is approaching. My big day! Driving Test day! Faintz*






I told my mum if i fail the rest of the lesson fees i pay. Maybe becos i took my parents' money for granted that i learnt with an insincere attitude.




Ting and i have followed the legend of shaking jia liang's hand before our tests. He is the first one who passed among us. And those who shook his hands passed.
i do hope this legend remains true.




Pls wish me luck girls! hehes.

Just went online to accept Bioengineering from NTU after receiving Electrical Engineering from NUS. Been considering seriously these days.

Although Ivan is going to be in Elec Eng (ting and dan knows why), but i can't give up my ocean because of one sotong..

And although Ntu may have many lecturers from China, i may not understand their English, but .. my interest is still on bioeng.. Somemore NTU has many poly students. more chinese speaking! i like i like!

Went to watch 'Bridge to Terrabithia' with ling at cineleisure Cathay. She told me that in her survey all my sistas chose gv as their fave cinema except me. (I chose Cathay!)

EXPLANATION: I chose cathay becos i seldom go GV!

And pls.. if u intend to watch that movie, don't think about it anymore! it's too 'artistic'

JOANNE'S BDAY


WE WENT RIVERSIDE INDOESIAN RESTUARANT. WE CHOSE $15++ PER PERSON PACKAGE. THERE'RE MANY DISHES, ALL SERVED ON NASI LEMAK PLATES.

THINKING BACK, I REGRETTED TALKING TOO MUCH AND NOT EATING MUCH. HAHAS! I TINK I ONLY ATE SOTONGS THE MOST. POOR TING HAS TO HELP ME SCOOP THEM ALL THE TIME. HAHAS.





WE WANTED TO GO PUBS/CLUBS AFTER THAT. WERE JUST STROLLING AND COULDN'T DECIDE WHERE TO GO.

WE WERE AT THE ENTRANCE OF MOS BUT DIDN'T GO IN. JASON'S GF WAS UNDERAGED. AND THINKING THAT ONCE WE STEPPED IN, WE HAVE TO DANCE, I FREAKED OUT. HAHAS! SO .. I TINK.. I SORT OF PERSUADE THEM TO GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!

Then 1 of them suggested 'Eski Bar' .. the one wei der took me to b4. Evidence that they've seen my blog.

I ordered 'chocolate martini! very bitter sehs. but thinking that a small glass of cocktail costs $15, I swallowed it down slowly. hey.. that's wat every auntie would do k?

Went to eat Teochew rice in Upper Serangoon after work! :) It was opened 24 hrs around my area, other than Mac and Prata shops. Wei Der chose the following dishes:

1. Angela Chang’s latest album 'meng li hua'. I dunno why he seemed to like her more than I do. He said he wanted to take me to her autograph session this Sunday. And he told me that when he sees her he will faint.. diaos!

My fave!

A little upset that Spiderman Peter Parker becomes really bad this time. Arrogance and overconfidence has made him another person. Yups.. I know I shld accept that heroes make mistakes too. After all they are still human beings.

I like some messages in the movie like, “Everyone has a choice. When you are angry u have a choice. Whether to forgive.”

Before that we went to Thai Express in City Link. The air con was down for the whole building. And customers walking in the restaurant will get warned about it 1st. And most of them walked out upon hearing the news.

Well.. wei der and I got cheated. No one told us anything. I was perspiring while eating my tom yum seafood glass noodles. I was thinking.. I seldom perspire.. but maybe my sweat pores become bigger that day.. until wei der over heard the manager talking then we found out the truth.

And the waiter took the wrong order for our dessert. We ordered Red Bean Thai Dessert but he mistook it as Mango Rice. I dunno how but he just did. We, as kind customers, didn’t tell him about the mistake. We tried our mango glutinous rice dipped in coconut milk. NICE!

The happiest people doesn’t have the best of everything. They just make the best of everything.

We had Anderson ice cream! my 1st time!

It suits me well. i managed to make use of every space to put my cards. Few of them must have known that i told them i bought myself a $2.50 wallet so as to buy wei der a b'day gift: a $62.90 wallet. hahas. :P





I splurged this month!








I bought myself a b'day gift! U know opposite my work place.. there is TS, the DVD/VCD shop. They have 50% discount for certain VCD sets now. i dragged wei der in to dig for the VCDs i want. Maybe i will be lucky.. i found 'ENGINE' and 'Mr Fighting'. But in the end i didn't buy cos i'm not that interested. But wei der found 'Ai Sha Shi Qi' . 20% discount. $25.50!













i wanted to put it back into the shelf after much consideration. U know.. i know i will put it aside after watching it. But wei der stopped me! So i give myself away to temptation and regard it as my bday gift.








2nd may -


Went J8 with shellen. We had dinner in Ding Tai Feng! Miao told me that this restuarant has the best 'xiao long bao' in the world. BUT..... shellen and i beg to differ that day. HAHAs.

the noodles were terrible. i seldom criitise food.. so when i do, u know how jia lat it is. hahas. Shellen's Dan Dan Noodle is really 'dan'.. ONLY noodles!





We used $18 to buy a lesson cum experience and changed our dining place to Thai Express!

We met a very cute guy in thai express. His blurness was extremely funnie. ;)




i renewed my 77th street card! now i have 15% rebate!

i saw this notice when i walked down the stairs from my house:









"I know the bastard who steal my shoe and exchanged for his old and used shoe!!! Don't let me catch you red handed!! beware"


Notice that it is in red color ink.

He doesn't have space to write the most important word "BEWARE". He should have written it bigger and bold it! hahas. i am born to be a loan shark.

It was allocated between the 2nd & 3rd floor stairway.

wei der said the person who wrote this confirm doesn't know who stole his shoes! hahas. i tink so too!

Didn't manage to blog last few days as i was working long hours! but this interesting customer asked me, "hey, do you bite?".. Pointing to my teeth as he said so. HAHAHA! i didn't really know how to reply so i simply smiled and said, "ya.. i... bite.."

some updates!

1st may - Wei Der made french toast for me before i went out. Although they weren't that tasty but the effort he made is enough!

Went Settlers' Cafe with ling, ying, miao, xue, tuck wei, joe & frenz! Had lotsa fun! We really should go there more often. i took photos of the board games we played!

They bought an Addidas jacket for me. i really didn't expect it coming. They kept telling me to guess. But i kept guessing "undies" ! HAHA .. But in the end they had a discussion and gave me an mutiple choice question:

a) Sport Bra
b) Shorts
c) Jacket
d) t shirt
e) (i forgot)

Either i guessed correctly and get the present or i had to dance with tuck wei in the cafe!

i dunno why i chose jacket in the end. i guess luck was with me that day! it suddenly became so clear for the 1st time in my blur life that i pictured Ling hinting me on the jacket she bought that last sat.






And they intend to subo me by setting on 48 for 'zhong ji mi ma' while i was in the toilet. But i managed to escape and Ling had to dance with tuck wei instead.


then the next time it was miao! she had to propose to tuck wei!

And one more thing, my poly frens didn't sing to me the bday song! Only Daniel did. i even requested that very day and i remembered Samuel saying i am very 'bu yao lian'. hahas.

I AM SO BAD! GOD PLS HELP ME TO BE LESS THICK SKINNED!

Some updates about my 1st 2 celebrations:






20th Apr (fri):




Went K Buffet with my cousin! This is my first time eating buffet in k box! And the japanese food are nice. Tink it is from Sakura.









i tell u girls the procedure 1st so next time if it's your 1st time there u wont malu yourself just like i did. The staff brought us to the room 1st and u have to order your drinks. Then u paste a buffet sticker on yourself, leave your belongings in your room then go to the buffet counter. Take whatever u can from the buffet counter then go back to your room. THEN SING!










i didn't sing alot as i was busy eating the whole 3 hrs. hahas. And u know what? She pays and i just watch her pay. Bill = $66.90

i nearly died!










Then we went tcc. She nearly faint when i told her it's my 2nd time there. HEY.. We are different. She spends more on entertainment while i spent more on shopping!






i don't really bear to spend $20 on just having cakes and drinks but i spent on buying pretty items that can be kept. hehes.

AND I AM LUCKY AGAIN!

my cousin wanted to get a pink radio from Action city in marina square but it was out of stock. So she told me to get it from PS for her after work.

That's how the radio looks like:

i did the next day. i tapped on the salesboy's shoulder to ask him to get a new one for me.








then when i was about to pay at the cashier he gave me a Action City Member card.

He said all customers have to purchase items worth of $50 before they can get the membership card and a $5 voucher.

But now customers seldom spent in Action City so he gave it to me for a $20 purchase. (the radio costs $20). In other words i got it for free.

SO the moral of the story is...
Help others more often and u will get surprises!






25th Apr (Wed):



Met up with my long lost colleagues (maggie, elaine and jia yun). Seoul Garden in Taka! i love the food!





And they're so cute! Maggie took candles out and just as jia yun was about to put them onto the cake, i was a little confused. i tot i saw 2 big candles and 5 small ones!

i exclaimed, "Oooo girls, i am not 25 this year, i'm only 20, pls don't tot of me as that old!"

Then MAggie looked at me with her big eyes... "HUHS?! u not 19 mehs??"

DIAOS.. so is everyone blur.. including me. what a big mistake!





so that day i became 2 years old! 2 small candles on my cake! hahas.

The rose has a special feature: the end of its stalk has a tube attached to it. The tube has water in it to keep the rose last longer.

Went to take a Weight Management test at Elken. i had to stand on a special weight scale and stretch my arms out.

And my Visceral Fat Level is lower than the ideal one. Which means LOW BLOOD!

i've got low blood.. But higher Metabolism rate.. that's great.. hehes..

And also.. my age is 22 instead of 20! My body is aging! i shouldn't be aging at my age. OH MY!

23 only. He is biologically 1 year older than me when in fact he is 5 years older!

Conclusion: i am so unhealthy. He is so healthy! :P

I felt better after talking to wei der for a long night. :)

I realised that he is quite photogenic, especially with red hair.

After all the sleepless nights, I finally slept better. It's been a long time since i last praised him. So i declared now that he is understanding, mature and thoughtful to me.


i may just be biting depression pills now if he was not there for me!

He told me that the only way for me not to feel guilty towards my parents is to get the license, instead of giving up and paying them the fees back in instalments.












He told me to take a passport sized photo first, in case i got very lucky that day. (In cae i pass the test, i have to submit the photo to the driving centre for my license). It's like 3 years since i last taken a passport sized photo. i always put a 'si ren lian' lehs.

i hope to finish one big sketch book filled up with my sketchings by 22nd may. But say is say.. maybe i will do it only by last minute. hahas!







We watched 'Shooter' together. Again at the cathay. Nice action show with a simple plot. i lost the movie tickets in the cinema. And he was a little angry i guess. Hahas. he shldn't give it to me in the 1st place. Blur people lost things faster. (now pushing the blame to him)







After having nachos at Cathay, i finally understand why maggie insist going to GV for movies. Nachos in GV are alot nicer!





A killer shot 33 people and injured 29 people in an US school..! i am dead angry! NO one has the right to take away others' lives. i repeat,


NO ONE HAS THE RIGHT TO TAKE AWAY ANY LIFE!

i been stressed lately over one particular thing. it's again the same old thing. my driving lessons.







i just had my 2nd lesson in the driving circuit. Driving in circuit is something like controlling your car in narrow roads, not mounting any kerbs. I freaked out! My driving test is approaching.. i really dunno how to face that very day.








Why do happy things tend to always be forgotten by me easily? Why am i busily thinking of this thing when happier things are all around me? Everyday i've thinking how to improve myself in the lessons. i think i am going crazy!









All i know is i regretted taking them. i had the feeling of giving up again. i wanted so much to quit. i kept crying to wei der that there's no way back. I am only left with 1 choice: Either i kept trying to get my driving license or i kept trying to get it.









i kept on thinking.. why do i need a driving license for? i may not even afford a car in the future. And even if i can, i can depend on wei der to drive me to work or some other places. He is already an experienced driver for 5 years.. And i don't feel my life being in danger when he drove me around.. Wat am i thinking of when i want my driving license? My senses are not fit for getting a license.







Wei der said to me...
'Not everyone is lucky all the time. U have been lucky all the way in your poly days. Getting through tests.. examss.. projects.. It seemed like these 3 years u have just breezed through them.. God is fair.. Everyone will have their strengths and weaknesses.. All u need to do now is to overcome your fear and weakness.. Don't make it such that the higher u climb, the more u are afraid of falling down. it should be 'yue zhan yue yong.'








BUt...


i tend to have this illness of remembering sad things more than happy things better. Selective memory! Until i got through the ordeal then i recalled my happy moments. Is there any treatment for having selective memory?








YUPS.. i tried.. i really tried hard.. i took my instructor's words seriously and tried to make changes to my bad habits.. BUt he cant see it..








Deep down in my heart i know i am too far from the test standards. There're only 5 slots left for me. i dunno how to learn fast enough to pass my test. i know i'm not up to it. All of my confidence i used to have is lost.. Should i delay my test date? .. i wanted to.. but i think my instructor won't allow.. haiss..







And .. my blog is only for people who wish me well.. For those people who doesnt, please get out of my life!










Just received a good news through msn.. Ivan got into NUS: Electrical Engineering! His 1st choice! :)

And i've been busy helping wei der with his online shopping blogsite. Now i get to apply my knowledge on being a blogger and html + java skills which i learn in my poly days on something!

My dad lost his phone in the toilet a week ago. So he bought another phone Nokia 6300 on my way back to Singapore and he msg me this hilarious msg:
