Today is the last day of CNY.
Was supposed to go granny's house to eat but dad told me too late!
I promised Qing Yao to go his hall production. He is the producer of his hall cca (drama i think).
It is held at Lee Foundation Theatre and is $16!

It is a pub-club at St James. Main dance is Salsa. Miao and her bf's Fave!

Going to Fitness First with my colleague tml. Hahas. She said wanna bring me to sauna or steambath after the workout at the gym since i never try before. I even asked her what a steambath is! She paid $125 per mth for it and can go as and when she wants to. She can bring friends for a 3-days trial. Actually not so shou with her but u know i find it hard to reject her. since she is so nice!! Just a bit paiseh dunno what to talk to her on our way there!
And i suddenly got menses yesterday. hahahas. too bad! i told her i can only go gym tml!





Simba cant go gym with me this sun again as he has fallen sick again. Flu and cough!
I gave him my medicine and hope that he get well soon and dont pass it to me!








I was really happy when the tuition agency called me to give Physics tuition to a sec 3 girl. Yeah, i was looking for a sec sch student to teach once per week.
The agent asked me whether it is okay if the tutee's mum call me for a chat. I agreed as my past tutee's parents didnt give me much of a problem.
But regretted once she calls me! :(







She kind of suan me! So angry!



"My daughter very li hai one lehs. She studies in Nan Qiao Sec! (Btw, what school is that? i never heard of it before!) Last time u take pure science or combined science?"
"Erms.. Pure.."
"My daughter take pure science. Her grades are very good!!!!!!! Are u sure u are confident to teach?"
"I should be able to."
"Are u very sure? The O level next year is very difficult u know or not?!!!"
"Oh i know."
"If u are not confident, never mind! U never teach sec 3 before. What if u forget already?"
"I will make some revision before i come every lesson. Dont worry."
"I give u time to think. Since u are not strong in science, then why do u want to teach?"
"I have just taken Physics for my year 1 in university. Should be able to handle and recall i guess."

"Huhs? What kind of university? What is that? I never heard of it before."

Then she just kept telling me how good her daughter's grades are and pressurize me into saying i'm not confident to teach. Hahaha.
But i apply to teach A maths and Biology only! The agent gave me a physics tutee! Not i choose one ma.
Decided not to teach her in the end. Think the mum will sack me after my first lesson haha.
i buang my physics in sec sch! hahaha. C6 i think. Got both 'B's for Physics 1 and Physics 2 in Uni. :P



I dont blame her btw. Guess parents are always proud of their children's abilities.
i dont remember my mum being so worried before. hahas.





I told simba i gain and lose a job on the same day. :P







Regretted that i didnt study hard in sec sch. :(
Felt so wei qu for being looked down upon. :(








I remembered having the lowest self esteem then at the age of 13 to 16. Couldnt run and couldnt study. Felt fat and ugly. Felt bad English!
Felt bad skin and big legs. Felt unwanted and stupid. Felt bad hair and moustache (i still have moustache now!) Felt so looked down upon!! Felt so hurt by bad remarks. Felt so much like dying! Totally gave up on myself!








I was so lazy! I remembered feeling so sleepy in class. Any lesson is just too boring and i just cant pay attention. Feel so hot in the thick uniform especially after PE. Remb crying at nights cos dont feel like going to school. I used to hate studying so much! Handed in homeworks weeks after the dateline. Felt like tearing the maths textbook when i dunno how to do many many problems! No one to turn to and my parents didnt have money for a private tutor. Dont even understand a single thing on anything! Felt teary after every o level paper! :(








Poly changes my life. Luck starts to come.. Opportunities start to come.. I get to wear my own clothes so i dont feel so warm. Aircons in classes! :) Get to dye my hair and work alot so tt i can afford to buy things i like. Learn how to understand notes better although i am still a bit lazy.








That's when i decided to let every unhappiness go. Ugly nvm. Bad hair nvm. Fat nvm. Moustache nvm. Bad English. Friends are there to accept who u are, not despise u.








Everything starts to turn out better!
That's when i decided not to take things too hard. More resistant to remarks and critism. Happier and contented with the present. Not to dream big dreams and get disappointed in the end.








I remb Shellen used to draw me and the guy i used to like on the route towards Anderson JC and then NUS many times when she wrote me cards. And it always ends with the words 'Happy ever After'. Sweet of her to always wish me well. Now although i took a different route (Temasek poly and NTU), it's okie.. I feel happy the same way. :)
Now i can pay attention to lectures better and work a little harder. Okie i do get restless and diao the lecturer if he never give breaks in between lectures. Then kept complaining tt i am so tired!!
Oh no feel so bad thinking back.







i may still feel insecure at times now (i know some of u dunno cos i never say out my insecurities now)! Still look into the mirror and frown on the pores and dark spots on my face. Still frown cos the hairdresser says my hair is KNS. Still hope tt one day i wake up with an oval and smaller face. Still hope for a 2nd puberty, to be taller and slimmer. Greedy hor!! Still hope to be smarter hahahahahaha and less blur hahahahaahhahahaha. Still trying to perfect my skills on trimming my eyebrows myself. Still wear make up all the time and pray that no one will comment on the bad skin hahaha. Still finding the correct combination of skincare products. Still ask my mum before i go out, "Mummy, do i look fat today? Do i look fat in this outfit?"
But i know now i only think about all the above once a week! Very good already hor! Not everyday hor!










i printed my logbook entries and pasted them on my logbook. My supervisor said he gave me a GPA 4 (grade B+) for the past 6 weeks' performance. He wrote some comments and i felt quite touched. Tears welled up my eyes some point of time when i was reading them.









It is too late now and i still have some emails, from supervisor Kevin, for tasks to do for tml! Got to think about how to do them before he faints tml.

I love CNY!




My 2 colleagues in their late twenties pant heavily after they climbed up 8 flight of stairs. LOL. 4 storeys only loh! Shouldnt have laughed at them but cant help it. Haha. Sometimes being afraid of taking the lift is a good phobia. I climbed 10 flight of stairs back home everyday! Got training one hor! I wanna try climbing 12 storeys to simba's house! Jia you!





Think we really have to take care of our health now as we are in danger of being in the late twenties too! My colleagues always forever suan me for walking to work. Kept on persuading to take a bus. Seems like even walking a longer distance becomes a difficulty for them. So scary! i really dont wish to be like them!




Didnt go gym for 3 weeks. The 1st week simba was sick. 2nd week i was sick. and 3rd week is CNY!




i was looking at simba's baby photos and got so envious of how he can change his round face from a kid to an oval face now. So angry! Why cant i be like him? Why must i stay as a round face?!!




I ask simba what his secret formula is. He asked me to keep pushing in the sides of my face. Diao!



Having an oval face will be great. This face shape fits almost everything. Straight hair, curly hair, caps, glasses.. everything!





Supervisor took leave from wed to fri! One leave was termed as childcare leave. Never heard of it before. I google MOM and found out that this leave is made for parents who have children less than 7 years of age. 6 xtra days per year. :)






i spent a day in the lab dealing with bacteria. So smelly! Cant really take it. And he gives me some work to do and i cant finish! So angry that i have to spend my weekend doing it. AIYAH!
But the happy thing is, he accepted my logbook entries today. He emailed me to say "Print it and i will sign it!"

Just watched Valentine's Day. The movie has about 10 ang moh main leads! Simba fell asleep watching it! Mei li mao! Perhaps cos i like angmohs i recognise all of them and can differentiate who is who. But simba cant and got the whole story mixed up. He also cant recognise Gerald Butler in 'Law Abiding Citizen' and halfway through the show, he asked me who this random man was!! But Gerald Butler is the main lead!!











We dont think it's nice btw. Both of us dont really like romance movies sadly. We wanted to watch Wolfman but think that it's weird not watching Valentine's Day on Valentines' day.

CNY day 3 is today! We didnt go visiting. Went shopping in the noon before simba went bowling with his friends! Most shops arent open yet. :(
Simba saw a pair of slippers he like. $40! Didnt buy in the end. But he went to buy the same sunscreen and moisturizer as me. $40 also. LOL. He feels that buying the slippers is more worth the money but he just dont wanna to lose to me. I told him to put them back onto the shelf as i knew he will be too lazy to apply but he just insist. i just cant stop him! hahas. And he believes by next week he wont be pimply anymore. So optimistic hor! And the sunscreen stated it was made especially for women. hahahaha. :P

My supervisor said simba and i look like Smurfs and carebears. Mei li mao!!!

I repaired my laptop, dunno how i do it but i did it. :P I kept trying my luck till 2am in the morning so that i dont have to go to the Toshiba Customer Service during my mc day! And ta ta~ my luck is tried and it works!

During my mc day, i sent simba to work before going back to school just to buy that attachment logbook. Simba felt sad tt i will not accompany him to work tt mc day so u know as a soft hearted person, i woke up early to send him! Very nice right!

I didnt eat medicine tt morning Thought i felt okie but immediately regretted on my way to school. Coughing like mad! Was feeling so down cos of tt painful throat!

Squeezed into the shuttle bus again hahaha. I was sitting next to a lady when she suddenly tapped me on my hand. I got a scare and looked straight into her face. Then she asked, "Hey, where did u buy your bag? It is really nice!"

I struggled to answer, kept clearing my throat.
"I bought it at Tangs warehouse sale."
"Warehouse sale? So it is no longer in the market?"
"Erms.. i think so.. Cos it's the last one when i bought it!"

She said she long wanted a backpack but felt that it is so difficult to get a nice one.

She kept looking and saying it's nice until i feel so paiseh! Wanna to say sorry i got the last one! HAHAHAHA. Very suan hor.

I realised the topic my coursemates (acquaintances) talked to me was on clothes, bags, shoes etc!

i tried to dig out and wear different blouse to work everyday! It's been a month and i haven't wear any repeats yet. HAHAHAHAHA. So proud of myself. i rearranged my clothes such that some of them arent ignored. :P

Simba knows i like Spot the Difference game and he went to play it in Facebook. He introduced me the game and hope i wont beat his score at my first try. And the bad thing is, he just wont help me find. So bad right! But then i still beat his score! :P The evil never wins! haha.

I think i am subconsciously evil. I passed my virus to 3 colleagues. 2 of which are very paranoid. They cover their food whenever i cough. Hahaha. The more they dont want me to pass to them, the more i pass to them. Hahahaha. One of them is my supervisor. He just msg me tt he is sick and today is CNY's eve's eve. I think i gonna fail my attachment.

Yes, he made me amend my logbook entries again. He told me to fake mc on the 17th and 18th as he is on leave! hahaha! But i decided to stay in office and slack since he will not be around and i will have no pay leave if i dont go. Very sad! Maybe i will go to the lab and help do some gel electrophoresis, high performance liquid chromatography, polymerase chain reaction and wash some test tubes and beakers and touch some acids! Then i wont be so bored. :P

Today (friday) we finished work at 4pm! So happy! i left around 4 20 and called simba to suan him. And he knew i wasn't up to something good. So he asked, "Can u wait for me please?" Shouldnt have called him! HAHAHA. Then i walked 2 lOOOooong bus stops under the blazing hot sun to his Biopolis building to wait for him until 5 30. So nice right! :P

Simba has been a genie lately and so i'll be nice!!!! :)

It's time to blog again.
Not going work tml as i went to see a doctor and he gave me an MC for tml! I keep urging simba to see a doctor then i can eat his medicine. But he refused. Now he wants to eat my medicine! Angry sia! There goes my $36.



Lost my voice yest but still insisted going for tuition. Didnt pronounce the han yu pin yin properly but my tuition kid was nice and patient with me.



Decided to give myself a break. Tml can go NTU buy my logbook and also to Toshiba to repair my laptop. :) After my phone is repaired, my laptop started throwing tantrums.





I already bought the logbook and written on it. But my supervisor said it wasn't good enough. Diaos! i already rewrite twice already! "U have to let your ntu tutor be impressed with u when he reads your logbook! U need a certain structure. I dont think that's good enough!" and he goes on and on..

Since i have to rewrite again and again, i decided to type all my logbook entries out and paste on the logbook instead.






Till now, my supervisor thinks my performance was so-so. He has HIGH expectations of me. Omg. Everytime he threw me a task, i got to finish it within the time limit he gave me. And everytime i laugh awkwardly, he knows i dunno how to solve that problem. School always give us weeks to finish an assignment. I can keep trying even if i fail again and again. He gives me only an hour or so and i am expected to succeed the first time i try. Maybe.. maybe one day i will meet his expectations. Difficult but try my best!






Working life is tiring. Hahas. Time passes fast!
My colleagues are very confident and charismatic. I know there is a thin line between very confident and proud. But i still think they are just very confident, not proud. Hopefully they can pass this kind of confidence to me. :)







They never stop talking! I met my match! They talk very R21 stuff! I only laughed it off. The hokkien they spoke was too chim to be understood. They said this xiao mei mei (me) will go home and write in her secret diary 'I met two perverts at work today. I learn many things about gays and lesbians today.'
Secret diary??!! HAHAHAHAHA. i didnt know i've got one.



Another thing they spoke was all about Biology. Impressed by how they can remember all the names of drugs, hormones, biosystems and what they do for the body..








Last friday went to Party World with simba. That was when simba's sore throat started!
Was very happy that the snacks and the desserts were real nice!

5th feb - Went back to PeiCai secondary school for the Alumni gathering. :P
The school has changed alot. Yeah, expected right! It's been 7 years! i'm 23 and i feel like i'm only 18!






Now the canteen even got bar table lahs!
Maria told us that now the school is into student welfare. They don't make CCAs compulsory anymore. They encourage students to go every week but they wont force u if u don want. It becomes the teacher's duty to make the activity interesting. Poor teacher!
And they only encourage to dye your hair black and cut your fingernails short. During my time, they just cut off the dyed part and ask u to stand up to cut your fingernails during morning reading time!
I want to say those were the days! Must ren lao already!

I am having sore throat, dry cough and some flu.
My colleagues started to siam me as they don't want to get sick during CNY. Omg.
They said i'm able to recover by CNY but if i pass to them, they will get the virus in CNY.
:( Hahahas, never pity me one lohs!

Went for CNY clothes shopping with simba last sat! And both of us were having fever and headache. Simba passed all his fever, sore throat, cough and flu to me! He had it last week and still hasnt recover. :( Sad! But i was happy that i bought a necklace from f21 for $11, a pair of jeans from Bershka for $49.90 and a pair of gold sandals from Rubi for $19.90! Simba got two shirts from Espirit for $54.90 and a pair of jeans from FreshBox for $69.90. He went to Zara and was sad that he cannot fit in the smallest jeans. It was just too loose! That's why Simba only likes TopShop and Espirit where small sizes are available! I like Pull and Bear, and Max & Moore! :) Lately i like high-waisted skirts, gold accessories
and formal blouses :P Shopping with simba is great! He goes excited seeing nice clothes just like me!
