It was love at first sight with this jacket! OMG, please stop me from buying it. PLEASE!

Now we have free shuttle bus service from Pioneer mrt to school. And i bought only train concession. And i left home 1 hr 45 mins before class starts. I need to catch the shuttle bus before peak hours. Hahas. And i reach half an hour before lesson. So auntie!

I can save 60 cents per ride and $1.20 per day. And about $20 for 20 days. I can get another top! :)












27th aug -


Today we finished class at 10 30am as it is election day! :)
We voted for our dear bi han as the financial controller for our School of Chemical & Biomolecular Engineering. Hope she gets the post :)










And Simba wanted to dye his hair. So we went to Toa Payoh to get his hair done. He kept influencing me to dye my hair too all the way from Pioneer to Toa Payoh. I wasn't tempted until the hair dresser painted his hair with some dye chemicals. Okay so in the end i still cant resist temptation! :P





I was reading 'Shape' in the salon. And i was particularly drawn to the last page. LAUGHTER was the topic. Laughter causes us to breathe in and out rapidly, so more oxygen is taken into our body. And it energises us! So now we know the trick of a jovial person! And laughter causes our T-cells and B-cells to produce endorphins, our body's natural anitbodies. Laughter is healthy. So if there's anything in your to-do list this month, it should be LOL everyday! Promise me promise me. :P






And lately, i'm reminded again and again about doing Yoga. Through magazines and friends. Yesterday Bi Han invited me to join her classes. Wows! Mum was so supportive of the idea. Simba too! I think i have gained weight! Yoga can make me lose some weight and be healthy. i want to be a thinner and more confident girl. Maybe one day i can just wear something without thinking i look fat in it. Jia you! I will find out more and hopefully if the fees aren't too high, i will join a few classes and see how.

Went to S'goon Garden with Shellen. We wanted to find a dessert shop 'Dessert Bowl' but just couldn't find it. We went to 'Ice^3' instead. We walked there and took a cab back home. Took away some BBQ chicken wings. They are so nice! Miss the chomp chomp food. i told simba i must eat the sting ray and the sotongs soon or i go crazy thinking about them!

I dragged simba to take neoprints with me. I persuaded him for a long long time. He would always give excuses like his hair is too short or he has an acne on his face. This time, i can't let him off anymore. me is BGF (Bad GirlFriend)!

Celebrated "Darling's" birthday. Jia liang's birthday! After all these years, it was just a one-sided love. HAHAHAHAHAHA. The rumours aren't gone yet. I think they might last 4ever.

I was packing my room when i came upon this unopened letter.
Inside was a $10 Pepper Lunch voucher! :)








And it was expired on 30/04/09. OMG! That was the only letter i didn't open. I remembered about 4 months ago. I was staying in hostel because of exams. There were quite a few letters for me when i came back.
And.. i remembered i didn't open one. Hahahahas.








i don't take part in draws frequently. I didn't believe in it actually.




However, one day i was having dinner with JunWen at Pepper Lunch and he asked me to fill in their survey form. And selected participants will get a $10 voucher. JunWen insisted we must try winning. So gian! As Simba and i like to give encouragement, i think our feedback was quite nice. I think we put 4 to 5 stars for every section. HAHAs.









And i won. OMG! But bad thing is, it is expired now. HAHAHAHAHAHA. What a pity!

WARNING.. LOND-WINDED BLOG. PLEASE BE PATIENT!

JunJie played the PS3 game, GodFather II, for JunWen. Within 10 mins, he died! He used the character to kill someone and the eye witness. The police went chasing him and his men. While his men were busy killing the police, he went on hiding.

Then he took his men into a car he stole and drove off. He knocked down many innocent people in the run. And banged into many police cars till his car was on fire. They had to get out of the car. So he stole another car and drove off, leaving his men with the police. All 3 of them got killed.

He? In the midst of running away, he drove fast enough on the expressway that he crashed into the side of the bridge and his whole car went straight into the sea. LOLS! And when 'RIP' showed up on the screen, he shouted to JunWen, "Kor, your godfather dunno how to swim one!!" LOLS LOLS!

Just had my another lesson of the 'Magic of Voice in the world of a Singer'. Today, we sang a HIGH song. The chorus needs us to sing at our highest pitch. I ran out of breath before finishing it. HAHAHA. U know u must open your mouth wide wide to sing a high note. Open up your mouth in the same way when u yawn. When u change to abit lower note, u mustn't close your mouth too quickly. If not, the sound will turn out undesired!

We walked around in the lecture hall singing "Mum Mum Mum..." at different speed a hundred times i think. We spent time doing the bubble lip too. U know when u press your lips together and then u make bubbles, there will be a 'dooooOOOoo' sound. We did that! She said it is to relax the cheek and the jaw muscles.

Becos the lecturer said our high voice comes from the head. So when we sing the high note, we must imagine that there is a small hole on our heads and sound is coming out of it. And we must recite 'I must let my head to be as far away as the floor as possible! And i must have a long back of the neck and short front of the neck!' This is the correct positioning of my head when i sing.

And next time before u perform on stage, u must smile before u start singing the song. Cos 'An obviously nervous singer creates an uncomfortable group of audience. A poised and confident singer puts the audience at ease.'

Simba and i still wanna drop though it seems very interesting. We can learn for free. The lecturer charged her private students for lessons. She also will teach us how to smoothe out our voice transitions. Voice transitions = the awkward voice break in the throat when u change from high to low or low to high note. Somemore, we get to be trained one by one. She will tell us what our strong and weak points are. And she will get us to improve.

But singing alone in front of 50 strangers on stage in the lecture hall. And with a mike and no lyrics shown! And out of the 50 students, some of them play instruments and love music to bits!Erms.. i thought twice.. And the fear kept coming back.. Stage fright!

I told simba i know why we both like cute chickens cartoons. Cos we always chicken out! LOLS! :)

JunWen and i went for some prata in a newly opened classy prata shop in the extended jp. The pratas are soft and crispy. Especially suitable for ppl so ah ma like me! i love soft rice. I wanna be a freeloader someday.. Soft rice rocks!




















They would give u a Patron Pager after u order. And once the pratas are ready, the pager will vibrate and you can go get your food!


When they first gave us this, i thought it would beep once the waiter goes near us. Hahas! I know i very song (countryside)
















Our Kopi Chino Ice! Ever heard of that? I didn't until that day. I wanna to say 'Coffee Chino Ice' but 'Kopi Chino Ice' was on the menu. So i said 'Kopi' instead of 'Coffee'. Okie it doesn't matter. Tell me tt i am paranoid.





Anyway, the main thing is the Kopi was so nice! U all shld try!

























































































I caught up with Shellen lately. We went shopping at Far East and shared the Max & Moore dresses. 2 for $29.90! Dinner at Ramen Ten. With the Safra card, we got 20% off the 2nd ramen!

That my nail polishes would be so plentiful. That whenever i want to change my nail color and didnt know which color to choose, i can just close my eyes, point my finger at any direction and my problem is settled! :)








That my shoes would be so plentiful. That i can have pretty heels of the same design but of different color. That i can slip onto any shoes that matches my clothes.







That my only bag would be so unique. They say every girl needs one designer handbag. One unique and long term bag. i hope that one day i can go to a shop and grab a designer bag and say to the salesgirl, "Wrap this up for me." Then i signed the credit card without caring how much it costs. Maybe one day if simba can let me eat soft rice, i would just point at him and say, "Charge it to his bill." HAHAHAHAHAHA. Okies, dreams are good. i love dreams! Simba is really scared now tt i stay at home and shake legs upon graduation. LOLS! Mum always say in Chinese, 'At home depend on parents, go outside depend on friends.' After marriage i would say 'At home and outside all depend on lao gong!!!'

Addicted to my drama.



Taiwanese dramas are so similar. Hahas. The male and the female 1st lead actor and actress will never be together until the end of the story. Usually there are many misunderstandings that stopped them from being together.




Of course, at least one of those misunderstandings must be caused by the 2nd lead actress. Out of desperation, she would turn evil.






i always like the part when the 2nd lead actor will help the 1st lead actress to grow in her confidence and do many things for her.








Simba paid about $550 for the damages. The van had its tail lights smashed and its read bumper dented. We have gone through so much trouble before the van was sent for repair. Glad tt it is finally over! Yeas~







I've gotten 2 electives this sem. Acting and Representation in films and theatres, and Magic of Voice in the world of a Singer. Lucky me. Some people always didn't manage to get one but this is the 2nd time i got 2 electives at one go.







i attended the Magic of Voice in the world of a Singer lecture. They have 3 presentations and they all need me to sing! When i first choose this elective, i thought it was just learning about some singers and some singing techniques. I was so wrong! I didn't know i need to sing in front of 50 people in the lecture hall. Omg omg omg!








My lecturer is a double degree holder in Voice and Piano. She specialises in classical music. She told us that she only knew a few pop songs. The video clips she showed us online were those singers who went "Laaaaaaaaaaaaaa...." She also wanted us to follow her from high pitch to low pitch, then low to high. Then 'Uuuuuuuuuuu....' One thing i like about her is that she has a great dress sense. And she looks young despite her age.







So u know what's next..
Shy Simba and i decided to drop this elective!! We pray that there is availability for other electives.









My monster kid has recently behaved himself. Hallelujah!! He is less of a flasher now. And he is less naughty. Ya sad to say, my tutee is a flasher. He always shows his naked body on purpose. Hahas.











Recently i met some friends. Met ling for a chat. Shellen for shopping. My Poly friends for buffet and 'Where got ghost?'. And simba for 'Up' and KTV.









'Up' is real funny. Simba likes 'Kevin', the stupid bird. And i was reminded of something. I am just like the fat boy who talks alot and simba is like the old man, always bothered by me. HAHAHHAHA.

We had our first day in school today.
We attended 2 lectures: Biosignal Processing and Biocontrol Systems.




I wasn't so used to lectures after a long holiday. So i shaked my legs. Okies, i don't usually shake legs. But today i need to. I want to keep awake. And i swung them up and down. Up and down. I took off my slippers and put them back on, took off again and put them on. Sometimes i closed my eyes and pretended to sleep. And sometimes i just day dream and write some notes in my neatest handwriting and admire my handwriting. HAHAHAHA.






When i peeped at Simba, he was calm. He didn't move much. All he did was look at the lecturer and flashed a blank look. Wows!





We had our first lecture at 3 30pm. I was watching 'Fated To Love You' (Ming Zhong Zhu Ting Wo Ai Ni) online. And i cried and laughed the whole morning. I think i used 10 tissues! Hahas. And my eyes went swollen. I remembered telling my poly friends that i would have triple eyelids after i cried.






So before going out, i put more powder around my eyes. And i think it works! Sharon, Bi Er and Bi Han didn't discover. Or maybe they didn't dare to ask.






Once in my accounting lecture, I was thinking of a drama. Then i kept tearing. Okies, that was so lame. Then Sharon said, "Hey are u very tired? I thought u were crying. Wake Up!" Hahas, maybe she was saving some face for me.








I am now watching "Fated to love you" online. I decided to watch because Chen Qiao En is the female lead! :) I love her! And now i love Ethan Ruan and Baron Chen too. I think Ethan Ruan looks really like Ming Dao. :P My younger brother shouted "Hey, Dang Ou!" when he saw Ethan Ruan in my laptop screen.

This show rocks! I think Chen Xin Yi is the nicest girl ever. How she treat others really moved me!

While i was watching this drama, Simba was playing PS3 games. He bought his ps3 just a month ago. He used nets to pay for it. And when he checked his account balance, it miraculously increased by $100 instead of decreasing by $600. His dad secretly transferred money to him as a gift. Wows!







Simba has completed 'Auto Grand Theft IV' and one Ninja game. Now he is into this game called 'The Godfather II". I watched him play the game and he lets me design the main character and choose all the clothes for his men. Simba liked to make all his characters as ugly as possible. So that he could laugh at them whenever he plays the game. Hahas. And i would edit them to look their best.

My elder brother was down with dengue fever last Saturday. His body temperature rose up to 40 plus degrees celsius in the noon. My younger brother took him to the doctor but the clinic was closed. They came home without any medicine and mum became very worried. According to her, his face was really red and he looked so weak. She then told my younger bro to bring him to Tan Tock Seng hospital.







Due to h1n1, they had a really long wait even when it was the A & E department. Sad huhs. My younger bro got so bored that he bought a small book from the bookshop for $4.90. The book was about relieving stress. Hahahas. Didn't know he was so stressed.








I only knew about it when i got home at night. Bro was sleeping in the room. And dad asked mum to check whether he was breathing. HAHAHA. Diaos!









On Sunday, my elder bro was home alone. Dad and mum were working. Younger bro went to teach guitar. I was in church. Jun wen kept scaring me. He said what if elder bro faint and no one knows.









So i msg younger bro, "Hey, is bro okie when u leave home just now?"
His reply, "I left home at 5 30am today."
Okie, even earlier than me. Never mind.
He asked for the reason for my question.
I told him the reason.
And his reply? "Aiyo don worry lahs. He faint also faint at home."





HAHAHAHAHHA. Lols. Precisely i am afraid that if he faint at home and no one knows then how!
Funny Bro.





I came straight home after church and tuition. Was relieved to see my bro watching tv. He said he coughed out blood. Omg! And Simba msg me, "Be careful ok anything call me. I can piggyback your brother i think."






HAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAS. Funny sehs. My bro is twice simba's weight for your info.







Next bad thing.
Simba helped his friend to drive some goods and campers for one of the NTU orientation camps. No pay was given but he said he wanted the free food. Hahahas. I thought that he was too paisehs to reject his friend.






We were on our way to NTU today to hand in his acceptance form for hostel when simba received a call from his friend. He said simba's lorry scratched a van while he was driving one of the days. The owner of the van reported it to the police. Okies, at first i thought it was a scam. Simba said he didn't feel any impact while he was driving. And he didn't remember driving close to any van.

So we met up with his friend, Alex, at Bukit Batok to find out more. We found out that an eye witness saw the accident and took down the lorry's plate number. He/she then told the van driver.






After looking at the Traffic police letter, simba recalled that that day he was driving out of this narrow carpark. He wanted to make a left turn but the road was blocked. Thus, he made a right turn and he might have scratched the parked van accidentally. The campers had a night cycling event that day in east coast park and simba's job is to drive behind all the cyclists to ensure safety. Alex told him that the lorry wasn't scratched. Only that a little paint came off it. He didn't know about the damage of the van.







Poor simba.







Thus, we made our way to Bukit Batok Neighbourhood Police Post. And the police officer recorded his statement. The police officer then typed out the police record for simba.







Simba's personal information was the 1st part.
And the 2nd part was written:
Type of Incident: Non-injury Hit-and-Run

Funny sia.

Many many details were written.








He told the police officer that he didn't even know that he scratched a van. But he kept asking him questions like,
"Do u know whether it is a scratch or a dent or anything on the van?"
"Do u know the colour of the van?"
"Do u know whether there was a driver in the van when the accident happen?"
"Do u know the particulars of the van?"










I dunno whether the police officer did it on purpose. Or is he just too blur.
Simba could only answer that he dunno.










And the police officer typed out simba's account of what happened.

"On 30/07/09 at about 2351hrs, i was driving a rented lorry GW5442X from STVE PTE LTD. I did not realise that my rented lorry made a slight swipe with a stationary van namely GX7889S when I made a right turn until i was informed by the traffic police on 03/08/09. Thus, I continued driving.

....."







The rest i forgot. Then simba and i went to meet the staff of the rental vehicle company. The lorry's insurance would be claimed to compensate the damages of the van. Luckily the rental company didn't ask simba for compensation. Maybe simba needs to pay for part of the van's damages too. But Alex said they would include the fees in the camp's budget account.










Beside us was an Ang Moh and his wife. They reported that someone impersonated their son. And they worry that it might be a scam or something. He said he suspected that it was an NTU student who did that. And Alex, Simba and i lolz!








Simba was sad that we didn't get to go kite flying as we intended to. While he went to meet the insurance staff, I went to TopShop and bought a really nice polo t for him to cheer him up. i treated him dinner at HK cafe too. And everything went as planned after the unpleasant surprise. He bought his Addidas shoes from Royal Sporting House!









Tomorrow Simba will be meeting the Investigation Officer of the Traffic Police. This officer seemed mean in the phone and told simba to bring along his driving license. Oh no, maybe some points will be deducted. Simba said he needs the yellow ribbon now. Hahahas.







Then we will go kite flying after that. :)

I have left my job and have a week's rest before school starts. I actually worked for 2 months and 3 weeks in the polyclinic. I got tired of work sometimes but the nurses and the other temp staffs kept me going. :)









The last few days of work fiona and i always have the same breaks together. The nice nurse allowed us to have the same breaks. Because we had a change of jobscope, we had a lighter workload now. And some of us really had nth to do. So fiona and i got to talk more. Hehes.









As the h1n1 flu is spreading fast, there are h1n1 positive patients coming to our clinic to take their medicine. They keep taking Fiona's and my seats while waiting for the nurse to attend to them. Everytime they left our seats, we wiped our seats with disinfectant. Scared sia! HAHAHA.









All of the h1n1 patients i came into contact with have already recovered or on the verge of recovering. They look fine to me. They simply came and smiled, and they would say, "I am/was a h1n1 patient." Some of them looked kind of quiet or guilty.




Oops, i understand if u try to avoid me these few days.




I got treats like dou hua with gingo, a fruit cake, ferrero rochor and kinder bueno from the nurses.

The nurse bought us chocolates and the indian Health Admin bought us a souvenir from India. An elephant keychain!









I was so happy when work ended on my last day. Was so tired tt i need some coffee. So Simba and i went for some coffee.

Had Lychee yoghurt with colorful flakes toppings after our peach ice blended bubble tea. We were done eating by 7pm. And our movie only starts at 11 10pm. So shoppping at Ion Orchard! :)

My legs didnt get tired but simba's did. i got totally excited when i see stores! I think shopping is the cure to my health problems. Cos i only exercise by walking around in malls. But of course simba didn't get excited. He just got tireder. haha. So we walked and sat, walked and sat..

Watched The Hangover in Cineleisure Cathay. We sat in the third row but the screen wasn't too near us luckily. The Hangover is so crappy. HAHAHAHAHA. If u like shows that doesn't make any sense, u will definitely enjoy The Hangover. Simba likes it so much. Hahahas.

26th july - Grandma's birthday
Went to grandma's house for buffet :)

I love to put on masks for kids in the polyclinic. They are so cute! :) I was discovered by many that i love kids. Hope next time my children will be as cute! :P

My cousin got a instant photo camera as a gift. So cool lahs. i wanna get one too! Soon i hope.

I bought a new pair of spectacles for just $40. I bought it from one tuberculosis patient. He is the middleman between the factory and the shop. So i got it so much cheaper than the original price. Tuberculosis patients have to come polyclinic to take medicine or injections daily or 3 times a week. That is how we know some regular patients. And this patient chose a purple frame glasses for me. At 1st he asked me to try blue, then red. Then he thought that purple is more suitable. This is the 1st time i didnt get to choose my own specs. My brother bought one black frame specs to get ready for his ns too.

My specs and me. I finally don't have to wear contact lens for 12 hrs a day. I wore specs right after i reached home.

23rd july
My colleagues and i went to Waraku pasta for dinner after work. :)
Students enjoy 25% off the bill. Great! I spent less than $20 for a banana choc dessert and a crab cream pasta.

I was on my way to work on Thursday morning (23th july) when i saw an accident along Aljunied road. It was about 6 50am. One lorry and 2 motorcycles. The 2 motorcyclists were badly injured. One man was kneeling down with his chin on the ground. Blood spreaded from his chin all over the ground. He wasn't moving. I guessed he was dead. The other man was luckier. His legs were injured. There was lots of blood too. He was crawling bit by bit. It seemed to me that his legs were fractured. They looked like they don't belong to his body.







I took bus 100 while Ji Mei took 155 to work. She saw the accident as well. At night, she msg me, "The man really died lehs. The more serious one. So sad."





My guess was correct.






Life can be so fragile sometimes. One day u saw someone so fine and healthy. But the next day he may just be gone.

What colour are you? I'm Yellow!

I'm ending my school holidays soon. I'm looking forward to school for the 1st time hahas. Perhaps i have gotten bored in my job. These 3 mths i play hard, read books hard, spend hard and save hard! So proud of myself!

My Sri Lanka ex-colleague left a comment in my facebook photo. He said i've gotten fatter. Mei Li Mao! (So rude!) HAHAHA. Then i replied him, "Hahahahaha. Maybe the next time u see me i will be twice my size. :P"

i told Miao tt i lost my ring. She said she already knew about it from my blog. And she said 'Old never go, new never come' in Chinese. Jiu de bu qu, xin de bu lai. Hahahaahas. The old ring has gone so that there will be a space on my finger for something more meaningful. The next time i have a new ring, i will put it on my left hand's fourth finger instead. Ji Mei told me tt the left hand is nearer to the heart. Becos of Miao's words, now i can sleep better at night and not feel so helpless all the time. Amazing isn't it? i guess that is why God created friends for. So that ideas and happiness can be shared. Happiness is never selfish. There are friends who make u better and there are also friends who always make u lousier. Miao is one good friend who encourages. U rock girl!





Now i tend to be more careful in not losing his gifts for me. i made sure i remember where i put the bracelet and the watch before i leave them there.

Once in a while, people lose something or someone. A phone, a notebook, a pen.. whatever it may be. Only after losing it, then they realise that they need to treasure the rest that are not lost. When u suddenly lose a close friend, only then u will treat your other close friends as if it was their last day on Earth.



I learnt my lesson. :)

Omg! i'm hungry all the time. The want-to-eat-alot feeling comes back again. Now waiting for simba to buy some supper for me. Control! Perservence!

18th july -

Last sat Simba and i went to the Food Fest at Taka. We ate lots of junk food. Until we were too full that we decided not to go Hop Nop to have our dinner. I wanted to put more food photos but blogger doesn't allow. So angry!

There are now new kinds of egg tarts in the market. Simba ate the kiwi egg tart while i ate the banana egg tart. He said he likes to try the weirdest favour of them all. But it turns out that his is nicer than mine.





Then we passed by the Heeren and a performing band was there. A girl playing the guitar and a boy singing. It is often the opposite right? Perhaps that's what make them unique.



























The boy can sing pretty well. We stayed on to listen to all their 5 songs. Performing seems cool to me. Taking your talent into good use and sharing good music to others. Letting people appreciate your talent.

We also went to the new orchard central. A staff working at Tully's coffee gave us a 50% discount coupon and so we enjoyed this cup of Mocha ice blend at just $2.95. I like the shops there. Especially level 8, the Heaven's Loft. I'm gonna try the 'Thai Central' one fine day!
