My cousin added me on Facebook.
This is her introduction:
hello my name is Clarissa.I am in Barker Road Methodist Church Kindergarten.

And this is her profile picture.

So cute! Hahas.

And in her shoutout box she wrote: I am learning spelling now. HAHAHA.

I remembered being young and blur in kindergarden. There wasn't a desktop in my house during tt time (year 1992). Nowadays kids are so smart.

Work is still going on well. I took some photos of the Blood Pressure station.

Now i get to measure the oxygen level too using this probe. All i have to do is to wipe the patient's index finger with a gauze soaked with the disinfectant solution and put it in between the probe. I only did this in my lab in Temasek Poly. Now i test it out on patients! :P

The waiting area!

Ji Mei drew Syauqi and i drew her. I copied her style of drawing. I liked the way she drew his face very evenly round and his hair symmetrical. Hehes. Sometimes we just get too bored at work.

Today Yvonne told me to show her a photo of simba. When i did, she said he is cuter than me. Thanks huhs, don wanna talk to her liaos. hahas. I am so petty. Can't stand myself.

I started tuition again as primary school has reopened. I thought my days in the polyclinic make me more patient but i was wrong. When my tuition kid asked me lots of questions like,

Him: "What is the meaning of safe?"

Me: "Means not in danger. Enemies dont attack them."

Him: "Why do enemies need to attack them?"

Me: "The enemies need to survive. They need food to live. They eat kangeroos so that they can live, and not die."

Him: "What is survive?"

Me: "To live. ....."

"How do kangeroos get from Australia to Singapore?"

"Why are they kept in the zoo?"

"How do zookeepers catch them?"

"How do u put kangeroos in cage?"

"What is a magic spell?"

"Why do the witch poison the princess?"

"Why do the witch want to do evil things?"

"What is a fairy?"

"What is the meaning of excited?"

And it gets personal.

"Huijin jie jie, why are you so young?"

"U know how to speak Tamil?"

"Are u Chinese?"

"Why won't you get angry with me?"

"Why didn't u scold me and beat me like mummy and daddy did?"

And the list goes on.

My blood pressure shot up to 180/100 when he tried to pinch my cheeks and said, "So cute!"

OMG! I nearly died tt day. My heart skipped a beat every 2 to 3 seconds. Even his mum said she cant handle him. I really pray that my kid will not have hyperactiveness. I dont remember asking so many questions when i was a kid. i was a blur and happy kid.

Post daniel's bday celebration. He suggested Sudoku, this Japanese restaurant that works like Marche. I've never been there before. And Daniel paid the bill. Yeah great!

Then we went Zouk! Due to the flash, it looked as though we were there in the noon. We wanted to go Butter Factory but it was closed for a week due to H1N1.

He said this shirt is ex. Erms...

The BFFs! HAHA.
I like this photo!

Simba and me. The brother and sister photo. hahas. I like this too!

This looks really like 3 cokes, 1 crysanthemum tea, 1 spite and 1 orange juice.

We were there at 9pm and we were one of the first. There weren't many people even at midnight. H1N1 freaks people out!

I like this too! HAHA. A bit out of angle though.

Daniel and Jason

We shared Chivas. A bottle was $200 plus. On Sharon's birthday, we went to a KTV pub and a Chivas was only $100 plus. Zouk can really 'cut vegetable head'.

We looked as if we were in New York New York restaurant.

I like to put my hands on simba's shoulder as if i am taller than him.

1st advertisement poster for LV! F1

2nd one! F2

Last one! F3.

I broke a glass when i was drunk. OOPS!

Anna and the King.

The king and his 2 concubines.

I happened to look upon the photo we took together 3 years ago. We really grow more.. erms.. mature?!

I try uploading photos here but still can't. Is it the blogger problem or is it just my blog?

It's been a week since I lost my ring. I left it in simba's house but didnt find it again. We searched again and again but just cant find it. I have been thinking .. thinking about it.. So sad. The fearful feeling of losing something.

I kept thinking...

Maybe I won't find it again.. Maybe I will.. Maybe i won't.. Maybe i will..
I should have been more careful.. I shouldn't have left it whenever i go. I should have keep it in my finger all the time. I shouldn't be so careless.
Where did i put it? Why can't i remember?

These thoughts are making me feel a sense of guilt, self pity and sadness.

Simba kept assuring me that it will be found. But i just cant help but ask him what if it cant be found. Simba said he can get a new pair. But i told him the first pair will still be the most meaningful. It was my last xmas gift. It wasn't even a year old. No matter how cheerful he sound, i just cant stop tearing.

Then i realise i am being difficult. Perhaps i shld take it easy. At least my engagement and marriage rings aren't lost yet. Okie, i haven't got them haha. But i know i will be very very careful next time. :) :) Once bitten, twice shy. At least Simba is not lost. Hehes. I should think on the bright side. Simba and i are forgetful people. If there is a second pair, we will soon forget about the first pair.

Okay, i feel much better now. :)

Simba is going for his 2nd reservist tomorrow at Seletar camp. 7th july to 22th july. His hair is ultra short again. HAHAHAHA. I will miss simba. :)

Blogger doesn't allow me to upload any photos. Does anyone know why?

Okie, so no photos today. I realised i have turned more and more talkative. OMG! I just can't stop talking at work. And i can't sit still. I must walk around and talk, talk, talk. I never used to be this way. I was a quiet Primary kid. Not so quiet in secondary school, but still quiet. I only talked to my close friends. Once in poly, i tend to open up more to my friends. Talk to more people. But people must initiate to talk to me 1st. NOW? i initiate! Jun Wen says he gets along better with chatterboxes and i am one of them.

There was a confirmed h1n1 case from our polyclinic few days ago. He came back from overseas and has fever, flu and cough. Thus, he was not allowed to come into the clinic. He had to sit outside the clinic and the doctor will come down in his mask and gown to examine him. And the ambulance will come to send him to TTS hospital.

We did this to other patients who came back from overseas and have fever, flu or cough. So don worry about me or coming into contact with me guys! I dont think i will be infected. And i think my immune system has built up! i didnt fall sick this 2 mths when junwen has fallen sick twice.

As they have set up another health monitoring station in the polyclinic, i went to the new station to help out. And I get to take my patients' blood pressure. Hahas quite fun!

Other than

- giving out quene numbers
- taking temperatures
- keying in patients' datas
- tying masks for patients
- registrating patients for flu clinic
- being the clinic's information counter (walking directory)

I learnt about how the polyclinic runs.

Now i get to act professional haha.

I have to ask questions like,

"Sir, do u smoke?"

"How many years have u been smoking?"

"How many cigarettes do u smoke per day?"

"Do any of your family members have coronary heart disease?"

And i get to ask the patient to relax and not cross their legs during the blood pressure taking. PRO HOR.

Then i key in the patient's data and wrapped the cuff around his arm. The nurse taught me how to wrap it properly. They even have bigger cuffs for fat patients and small cuffs for children.

And the patients will think i am a nurse. hahaha. They will ask me questions like, "Is my blood pressure normal? What is the normal blood pressure range? What do systolic and diastolic means? What is coronary heart disease?" And i felt so happy sharing what i have learnt in school with them. I think i really like the medical line.

I took my own blood pressure and i got low blood. Oh no! I didnt believe and tried a few more times. But the result is still the same. I GOT LOW BLOOD PRESSURE! No wonder i feel like fainting when i am at home. I thought it is because my mum kept talking to me.

I really like taking the elderly or the very sick patients to the nurse. I held this blur elderly man this morning. He didnt talk at all. And my colleague has to steal his ezlink card from his pouch hanging from his neck. I asked him the reason why he is coming to the clinic. He just looked at me with a blank face. So poor thing! He held the asmatic device and so i asked him whether he is feeling breathless. And no reply again. So i just guided him to the nurses and told them he is asmatic. The nurses immediately flashed that worried look on their faces. And they can be really fast in treating him.

And my desire to be a nurse becomes stronger.

Sarah is now studying nursing in NUS. She is one of their 3rd batch of students. I didnt know NUS has nursing! If i knew, i will apply for it. But still, BioEng is quite okie! My 2 colleagues were from BioEng too. One graduated from Ngee Ann poly and the other NUS. And the NUS guy couldn't get a job and so he took up a temp job first. This is worrying me. Omg! And the funny thing is, he share the same name as my dad. Whenever i call him by his name, i feel like i am disrespecting my dad. HAHAHA.

Some of the small nurses there look so happy. They care for one another. They work from 7am to 4pm. And after work, they will tell us their husbands are waiting outside to fetch them home. So sweet! I want to be a small nurse too!

Or i can be a pharmacist. I watched the pharmacist, Ricky, do his work. How caring he was really touched me. He advises the patients and prescibes them the medicine. And he gets his assistant to take the medicine for him. If u give me a job to talk alot, i will more than glad! But i don't want sales, counselling and teaching haha.

Or if next time simba sponsor me with a shop in town, i promise to work hard as a lady boss. I will make my shop look soooooooo nice! :) I will handpick the clothes myself and put them on the mannequins and put them on display. Then every now and then, i just go for some high tea and leave my salesgirls in the shop. I will definitely treat my salesgirls well! Maybe i bring them out to dinner once in a while.

I smile because i am happy now. I smile because i believe in the future. I believe there are better and happier days ahead. Yeahs!

Bihan's 22nd birthday.

We intended to go Swensens for dinner. But when Bi Han told us that she had to stay back in school to finish her project, we switched to a cheaper alternative. We went to Pastamania instead. We got 10% discount. Last time i used to get 20%. Erms! Maybe now they change rule. But the cooks cooked plenty of pasta! We were all full. Maybe my 'ou xiang' asked them cook more.

Sharon bought the cake from elsewhere. But we sat down at TCC to cut the cake. The staff wasn't very happy even though we ordered a drink each. Ooops! Nice hor, i like the tone of the cake. From light beige to dark brown.

I realise all of us showed our teeth when we smile.
I look short. Oh i think i'm the shortest of them all.

The prize award presentation. It is a $100 Mango voucher. :) She loves Mango.

Sharon, Bi Han and their poly ppl :)

The birthday girl said we are only allowed to put one candle on her cake.
We are all afraid of getting older when we are in our twenties haha.

:) :)
