My IA grade was delayed cos of the late submission of my supervisor's assessment form.
I check my degree audit everyday but fail to see my IA result till now..
Today i got it.. I just got it..
I scrolled down and saw an increase in my GPA. My eyes widened.
Thank you supervisor..
I dunno whether i deserve such a grade.
Am crying badly now.. THANK YOU KEVIN! U're such a angel!
:)
Life has not been easy ever since attachment started.
I rushed 4 days in a week down after attachment for tuition.
Kevin gave me a briefing everyday of what i should do and complete everything by that day. Its always overloading. No free time (except when charlotte and justin came in to chat!). And every now and then he will ask, "How is the progress? Are u done???" etc.. And i will give him a wide smile and said, "ERM.. SORRY.. HAVENT ahs.."
There are so much to read up on, so much to think about.. Creating a programming code to do a simple analysis takes me half a day. Figuring out how to use the softwares can take me years! The most challenging thing was .. when i put into powerpoint and present to him, he will say he doesnt understand, or why i didnt think of a better way, or just anything, any mistake he could find.. And then got suan.. The whole thing was thrown back to me. The logbook and reports were always not approved the first few times. I remb spending weekdays after tuition and weekends altering them. Or on my way home thinking how to solve that problem he posed me. Cant recall the countless times i had slept unknowingly before my laptop.
Of course, sometimes when i couldnt cope, i was on the verge to saying, "Erms, Kevin ahs.. i think there may be too much to do.." But didnt have the courage to say so! LOLS. Went so troubled thinking of the solutions. The whole cycle repeats for 5 mths, i dunno how i survived it but i did it!
Now.. because of that alphabet in my degree audit, it's all worth it. Charlotte is so right. We have to work hard when we are young. She left her job because she felt that her boss is way too nice and she felt that she had done too little. COOL RIGHT! She wants to have the feeling of satisfaction that she really worked hard to achieve something. Simba said Charlotte has influenced me alot. Not a bad thing i guess.
The manager i told ya all about is on hospitalisation leave for 2 weeks till end of July.
Thus, from that 3rd day i worked there she started on 2 days mc.. And then the next thing i know she landed in the hospital.
Remb on my 2nd day that night, i wrote about how scary she was. And then the next day, she went on mc!
Omg.
I remb after justin made me as his bully target, he got sick once in every 2 weeks. And supervisor kevin always point his finger at me! He said i go every weekend with simba to the hu ye (tiger God) temple and da xiao ren! And they said although i look the most harmless, my mind is full of evil thoughts. LOLS!
I think i cant have bad impression of someone anymore. Or else he/she will suffer! :(
This manager is actually the assistant manager! Her duties were taken over by the manager this week. I've been working overtime :( everyday... But she was nice! And told me to work under her from then on. :) Not under the assistant manager anymore! SO LUCKY RIGHT! Life isnt scary anymore. Just very busy!
I was thinking i dont want to extend my 1 mth contract anymore as $5/hr is really sad.. And i am really busy! The past few temp jobs i had werent as busy. My manager called me to the office and asked me to extend till end august. I was too soft hearted to refuse. LOL. Then she said when i end my contract with Recruit Express, she pays me $8/hr directly! SO HAPPIE! ;)
2 good news today :)

My last weekend was great. :)
Caught up with my sec sch frens, grandma, cousin and simba!
:)
I realised that lots of paperwork isnt my style!
And giving a flawless report needs alot of practice!
I think i dont want to be an accountant anymore lols.
I prefer being an engineer where i get my hands dirty, design equipment and even rack my brains to do programming. I'm glad that i chose bioengineering.. lols.
I went lunch with 1 colleague everyday. She is in her 30s i guess! I realise i didt dare to ask about her age and whether she is married although i'm super eager to find out! lols. So tactful right! REN!!!
I'm so proud of simba. He had a road march of 7km during one day of his reservist. His friend bought a new pair of boots and thought that his whole feet was in great pain after wearing it for the first time. He asked simba to try wearing it. Then simba pretended that the boots didnt cause him any pain. Thus, simba wore his fren's boots throughout the whole 7km! (His fren wore his.) His small toes were bleeding when i met him after that. The blood comes together with the pus. The wound was so BIG. Blood was just gushing out. Omg. Poor thing. He said his fren was nice enough to prepare 2 plasters for him lols. His fren said, "Wow, thanks for the noble sacrifice you've made for me!" I nearly killed his fren!!
No guilt involved. lols.

My phillipino kid's tuition starts tomorrow! (His mum wants him to enjoy the whole June hols without tuition!) Now i resumed my 4 days of tuition per week omg!
I'm glad that NTU's exams start on the 10th dec this time so that it wont clash with my tutee's exams in late oct! However, my last paper is going to be on xmas' eve's eve (23th dec)! No time to buy xmas presents and hurry for xmas sales!
Simba was awarded a $100 Safra voucher for having good performance in his reservist! First time they issue this. 16 out of 200+ guys got it. OMG. Sometimes i think his life is a breeze. Anyway the happy thing is, although my life isnt as breezy, LOL LOL, i can bowl 100 times for free at Safra! lols! Or book a chalet for both of us for free! :)

Dear joanne! Enjoy backpacking in Japan :) I really think backpacking is a very cool thing to do!
Life may not be as great now. due to another boring day at work. BUT I WILL SURVIVE!
I realise HR isnt very fun. It is just repeating and repeating the same thing. Payroll checks, schedules, reference checks. Tedious checking! A desk-bound job is definitely no fun! No wonder i want to be a nurse, always on the move and do different treatments for different patients. No wonder i am a waitress for 3 years :)
Tough times make tough women (my younger bro say one!)
JIA YOU! :P

I have spent two days at work and felt like it was forever.
:(
My manager is a female and i'm in a female working environment!
I have nothing against women. Most of my friends are females. :)
However, i can't stop myself in having the thought that female bosses are bossy, fussy and scary.
Yes my manager is a female.
AND SHE IS SCARY!
:(
Sometimes ok.. Sometimes her temper is crazy..
:( :(
She screamed at me just now for misunderstanding my colleague's instruction and making a rather small mistake. I predict more to come. I felt like defending myself but didn't. lols. Felt a little unjustified! My mum wont scream at me like that. :(
I miss Supervisor Kevin suddenly.. 2 days down, 28 more days to go. OMG 28 days!
Then while waiting for my tuition to after work, i went to bishan juction 8 for a walk.
I went Popular thinking that books will cheer myself up. (Dunno why also! Maybe cos there isn't Forever 21 or Pull and Bear in Bishan!)
I took out a book titled "Find Happiness in Hard Times" casually from one of the shelves.
It inspired me!
It goes something like,
"Bad feelings are like mice. They come in groups."
Whenever u feel upset, u will think:
"I feel upset."
Then u thought of work,
"I feel upset and unappreciated."
and then your salary,
"I feel upset and unappreciated and underpaid."
And then outside work,
""Not only do I feel upset and unappreciated and underpaid at work, i feel the same way at home."
"My husband does not appreciate me as well."
And your thoughts went on and on, going more and more negative.
I'm sure all of you know what i mean!
All of us are guilty of mice-like thoughts!
Instead, u should have thought,
"I am not sure why i'm in such a situation but i will embrace it and make it better."
"Endurance at work builds my character and patience. Work makes me appreciates my husband more."
Like if u get bankrupt, u should say, "I made it once, i will make it again."
Or if your leg broke, "I can read a couple of nice books. I can get more rest at home. I will learn to understand how the handicapped feel and sympathize with them. I can have another excuse not to go shopping with my gf."
LOLS!
Learn to first accept the situation. Forgive yourself, forgive your guilt!
Acceptance does not mean giving up.
"I am fat.
It's my mother's fault that i'm fat.
My sister is fatter than me."
WRONG THOUGHTS!
Thinking that u are always fat makes u fat. Your motivation becomes weak becos of your thoughts.
Say:
"Whether or not i'm fat, i love myself.
I can be as slim as other slim girls."
U get it!
Thoughts can determine your success!
Think positive now! i'm so going to build my patience and character tmr at work! :)

After the recommendation by my cousin, i went to watch 'Knight and Day'. Cant stop laughing! NICE! Lately, i realised my choice of movies has improved lols! Super bhb! ;)
'Despicable me' is GREAT too! LOLS! SO CUTE! We watched 3D at Film Garde and were given free stickers. And the 3D is really very 3D-fied! All the images are so near me! The last time i watched 'How to train your dragon' in 3D, i remb it wasnt as nice.
Went out to Yishun with mum on thurs. lols she is so funny. She shopped at Cold Storage, then at Shop & Save and went looking for Sheng Siong. ;p She said she has to find the lowest price for each thing she wants to buy.
Dad called to ask Mum to buy a Quick Pick ToTo at $3.50 for him. Then mum whined about how dad always buys but never wins. I was psychoing her not to buy for him and tell him we didnt pass by! However it didnt work. She went looking for Singapore Pools after lunch! Maybe she didnt want dad to get disappointed. I understand the down feeling of being disappointed and so, I unwillingly helped him buy. i dont want to gamble but helped my dad gamble! So ANGRY! I didnt know how to buy. I remembered dad always take ramdomly a ticket from the shelf. Didnt find it! Then the staff told me that i had to queue.
And the counter asked, "Mei mei, are u 18 yet?"
"Yes i am 18 already!"
"Show me." She said sternly.
Then i realised i said wrongly. (kept thinking i'm 18 lols!)
Thus, I pulled out my ezlink card and said, "Actually i'm 23."
Must be heart young, looks also young! Kill me pls for being so thick-skinned.
Dad didnt win a million that day. Even though i admit i'm lucky, but not THAT lucky! Should have insisted mum not to waste that $3.50! ;((
On Friday, i went for an interview in the morning and got the job!
Yes I will be working as a temp HR assistant in True Yoga Pte Ltd at Claymore Hill (Town Area) on Monday. Coooooool! HR! God bless! Thank God! :)
Being the HR will let me find out how the Yoga Business works and most importantly, i may get discounts learning Yoga there! (In one of my previous post, i talked about how i wish to learn yoga!) So lucky right! And my new semester in August has one module "Human Resource Management". I may apply what i learnt from the company into my school module :P
The pay is quite low but it's okie. I get to learn business stuff! The advantages far outpass this disadvantage. ;)
My mum told me i've working too many part-times.
I looked at my current resume :)
1. Home Tutor (2007 - now)
2. Bioinformatician - AITBiotech (Jan 2010 - Jun 2010)
3. Admin - Geylang Polyclinic (May 2009 - Aug 2009)
4. Telemarketer - Prudential (Nov 2008 - Dec 2008)
5. Cashier/Waitress - Pastamania Plaza Sing (2005 -2008)
6. Data Entry - Image Scan (Sep - Nov 2005)
7. Cashier - NTUC Supermarket (Jan 2004 - Jun 2004)
:P
Friday, went to watch 'Despicable Me' with simba! There was a food fair again at Taka! We bought these flavoured puffs.
Requested to have 2 of each and the cheese puff tastes the greatest. The rest cheats our feelings. They are just a little touch on our tastebuds.
This Taiwan Nai Cha is weird.. again!
We are still not over our Taiwan trip lols.
:) Tully's green tea matcha is nice!
Tastes like milk with ice cream.
Pasta at Warakuat Illuma.
25% off your main course everyday for students except for eve of public hols and publi hols ;)
Bill was $37 instead of $49 ;P
Crab, mushroom and prawn pasta in cream sauce for $14.80. Wondered why mushroom and prawn pasta in cream sauce costs $14.80 too.
I watched 'Toy Story 2' and 'Twilight 1' online this week.
Was watching 'Bride Wars' on Friday night, then watching a short video of Xia xue's wedding (i know i'm slow!) and reading Nicholas Sparks' book (sth about wedding) too before i finally feel asleep at 3am.
That night i dreamt about my wedding, so sweeeeeeeeeeeeet!
Saturday simba and i went to expo! He wants to go to the World Cyber Game exhibition but he told me there is a library book sale. lols.
We were stopped by a man from the wedding photography studio on our way! It was a Taiwanese studio lols. Ken Ding (Taiwan) is where they will have the photography shots. The photos with the scenery were beautiful. I'm so attracted to Taiwan! Again, due to the Taiwanese's friendiness and our softheartedness, Simba and i placed a deposit of $100. Omg. Not over Taiwan at all! We get 20 photos in a form of a 12" album and Ferris Wheel. We also get to stay in a Villa for 2 nights, and all food and beverages paid. I get to change into 4 different bridal dresses (excited!) and he 3 bridegroom wear. The photographer and make-up artist will follow me around. :)
And the lady boss of the studio likes simba so much cos he looked like her youngest son. LOLS. We got a discount because of that and was offered the price of $988.
We can go anytime from now till year 2015 when the receipt expires. Maybe we go next year just for a couple (not wedding) photography. ;)
The studio's name is My Vongue and the web is www.ny1999.com
Take a look :)
The WCG was okay but i was fascinated by the crowd of cosplayers there. I didnt know there was a club in Singapore called the Singapore Cosplay Club. They performed on stage too and sang jap songs. I found out from them that they actually sewed their own customes. Omg.
The library book sales was great! Each book only costs $2. Yes $2!
I bought 4 and he bought 3. ;p
Then it was simba's gaming session with xiang, ching siang and qing yao.
We had dinner at Pastamania. Haze gave me 20% discount. So generous ;)
I have never been to a LAN shop before and it was a prefect experience.
They planned to play Left 4 Dead. And simba said i could play as the zombie and kill them 4. They thought i was a pro LOL. They wanted to split into 2 teams becos of my presence and i insisted not to have them split up. I will get my team very irritated with me cos i will always die and they have to keep looking out for me. I know becos charlotte told me the last time she played with her bf and friends, her bf kept scolding her for being slow and always dying.
I get to sit beside them without playing in the end (Heng ahs! If not i will pay $2/hr just to surf net!)
I enjoyed watching people playing games. I've been watching my brothers play since young. Simba was afraid i might get bored but i didnt.
Took a photo of the 4 guys while they were so focused! (from neareast to furthest: Simba, Xiang, Qing Yao and Chin Siang). Xiang was pretty funny! I kept laughing cos he was so anxious! He was practically chionging in front and get himself harmed first.
Calm simba looked into my camera even though zombies are rushing towards him. lols.
Simba used my name as the player! SO ANGRY. The rest kept calling 'Hui Jin, here this way! Follow Hui Jin! Save me Hui Jin! Cover me Hui Jin! blah blah blah!'
The smart guys make a fantastic team! They come up with great tactics and won quickly! ;)
Like Charlotte, i felt like vomiting after the 3 hrs. The game was fast and the screen kept turning. My eyes were so tired. Next time, i shall play with simba! See if he scolds me lols.

Simba said that blogging has become like a commitment for me lols.
I realised that i am more to being a listener now to my friends. I listened to them tell me about their stuff. I dont reciprocate as much anymore. Listen more, talk less! (: Hence, having a blog updates my friends how i'm doing, what i have been doing and most importantly, how i feel. Friends came asking "i know u ... (did something) lately, was it (fun, boring, nice..)?" They know all this from my blog.
Of course, as girls need to talk alot daily, i tell simba everything lols. I would go on and on, always starting with "U know right today i .... (blah blah..)" I know if i didnt tell him in the first place, how would he know? But it's just a habit to start with "U know right.."
Another advantage of having to blog is that your photos have a backup. If ever your com crashed and your hard drive fails u (Yes, u are that sway), you can go back to your blog and retrieve your photos back. (Yes, u have to be as hardworking as me to upload photos one by one in Blogger). U can say that facebook works the same. But for me, facebook is too public! Some friends u added along the way are not close to u! And i wont upload all of them into facebook albums.
SO BLOG NOW MY DEAR FRIENDS! UPDATE ME ON WHAT U HAVE BEEN DOING!
Something was bothering me.. ;( Hope i get it settled by Monday..
Yesterday night, i got so worried that i cant sleep. Simba was fast asleep. So I googled "What to do when i feel worried."
lols. I read my Nicholas Sparks novel to divert my attention in the end.
Xiang said i am over positive until the irritating stage. Not true not true! ;P
I bought Baileys at $29.90 from the DFS Arrival Hall in the airport. Drinking it is a joy. My younger brother hinted me, "Sis, u know my friend told me not to add anything to baileys. U just need to drink it like this." The thing is he wants to drink a full cup! lols. I told simba what my younger bro said and he agreed. He poured a half naked cup of Baileys and the moment i drank it i regretted. DAMN pricking my throat and stomach! I then mixed it with green tea and it tastes fantastic! (: Love Baileys!
My dad asked me to recommend myself for the Citispa show. He asked me to go to where the Citispa recording is and walk near the hosts (Guo Fei Li and Wang Lu Jiang) hoping that they noticed me. Then i can get my face treated for free. lols. But dad didnt know that the hosts' criteria was finding women in their 30s, with a bit of skin problems and fats! Even if i lied that i'm 30, no one can believe it!
Now its time to start blogging on my Taiwan trip. ;P I am so addicted to my laptop like before. It loads fast and uploads my photos fast :)
Taipei Day One (i split into two entries so they wont be laggy)
Simba and i arranged to meet at 10 30am at Sgoon mrt circle line. I was slightly late due to mum's non-stop radioing. lols. He wanted to take a cab but i insisted on taking mrt since circle can get us to paya lebar station fast! And we aren't carrying many things.
The first of our 1500 photos!
We brought 2 digi cams and 4 spare batts. KIASU LEHS!
Simba at the mrt platform while waiting for the train.
I realli like this, Me and the busy Singaporeans. They are rushing for work or school or anything urgent while i am so in my holiday mood.
We boarded the train and simba was so excited about the itouch games i downloaded.
Big eyes.
He began killing zombies again.
We alighted at Airport Terminal 3! Wanted to walk around first but he said we are really running short of time.
But we still took photos on our way to take the skytrain to Terminal One though.
I helped Ting's sis buy something from the DFS and the cashier told me to fill in my particulars to stand a chance to win a million dollars ;)
I WANNA BE A CHANGI MILLIONAIRE.
Simba said if i win, we will share the money. Yeah, i wont tell him if i really win! lols.
The dino looks too real. I am sort of afraid that it may jump out anytime so didnt dare to take a photo with it.
Our air tickets. We booked them ourselves. So proud of it. i wasnt so independent. It's always my friends who booked for me.
ARRIVE: TAIPEI
As we were late, we ate our lunch hurriedly! A bowl of laksa at the airport costs $5. Great so great.
Simba said we need to take a photo with the departure sign ;P The angle was difficult to capture and we took a pretty long time to get it right.
Great about the departure hall was that the passengers can watch world cup live there! The results are all shown in the big screen here.
Free charging of phones. :P
We saw a couple taking photos with the plane so we copied them. lols.
While taking this photo, they announced that we have to board the plane.
Energised him kept asking me to smile at the camera while boarding. Sometimes we stopped to take pics and jammed up the queue behind us.
He said, "Turn around turn around quick!"
I wore purple contact lens. Quite scary looking.
I was sitting slightly behind where the wing of the plane was. I kept looking at the mechanism of the wing rather than the scenery. Omg. Poisoned by engineering!
Tao Yuan Airport
The trip we looked forward for very long has finally arrived. Love it!
I zoomed in for a photo of Taoyuan Airport from a poster.
It was 6 51pm when we reached.
Pretty long queue!
I think Taoyuan Airport was quite small and log-koh. Changi Airport is much more well-furnished! We walked around and was saying, "Eh that's all?!"
Baggage collection. We have no terriorist looks and the customs believed us when we said we had nothing to declare. We walked straight out of the door. The man in front was pouring out his things on the counter and explaining what he used them for. Poor guy!
After applying for the Youth Cards at the Tourist Information Counter, we went to search for the free-go bus. Youth cards can give us discounts when u visit certain museums or places of interest. Application is free ;) U just have to be between the age of 15 to 30 i think.
The Taxi Counter people kept asking us to take a cab to our hotel. It costs NT$1300 one way. About SGD$60 for two. Omg. The Free-go (Fei gou) bus costs only NT$130 one way (SGD$6) per person and it stops at most hotels in Xi Men Ding. We rejected them of course.
I tried to tell the Free-go counter that we are going to Paradise Hotel (I said it in English) and she didnt understand. Luckily a colleague of hers came to help her! Remember to know the name of your hotel in Chinese next time when u go to Taiwan.
The 2 empty seats weren't next to each other. We were separated and i was scared of getting lost. lols. Sua ku people are like that.
The most memorable time on our first day was during 11 plus when we chanced upon a shop along a small alley. I was asking the salesgirl how much that romper cost. I decided to buy it and she started promoting to me accessories, clothes and bags. She was really good! Kept talking until i feel so obligated to buy more things from her. Quite scarry! We spent about an hour in the shop (till midnight) omg and i spent about SGD$150 just in the shop. I bought about 10 necklaces, 1 ear ring, 1 romper, 1 blouse and 1 coin pouch. ;P My eyes widened when i saw she keyed in NT$3400 in her pink calculator. I knew I overspent even on the first day. lols. She said her name was Kui Kui and asked me to bring all my girl friends to her shop the next time i come. Simba said next time i sure subo my friends, bring them there then i run away lols. ;)
