I am away from my blog as I was preparing for my interview that was due just now.
I came back from Hong Kong last Sunday and from Monday I went to give tuition everyday for a week. I was addicted to watching The Big Bang Theory online and I know that's it. I will take a very long time to find a job. LOL.
Then come Saturday when I am supposed to find a job but I spent sometime editing my resume and cover letter and then went out with my friends.
Then Sunday. I gave myself an excuse not to send out resumes to various companies since the HR department won't handle resumes on a Sunday.
And Monday.. I was about to send my first resume when I received a text message from the pHD student I worked with in my FYP. She asked me to apply for the position of Researcher in the National Cancer Center. I had gone to the National Cancer Center to conduct my experiments and had met the researchers there. And my experience during FYP matches the job scope of this position very much. LOL. I can say it is 80% match! I went ahead to apply for it and the HR called me an hour later. And it got me panicky. Had to go back to revise my FYP again. Lol!
I must say that the interview was okie. The girl who went in before me took 10 minutes. She said she had no related experience. I took half an hour because I know 2 of the interviewers (There were 3!) and I presented my FYP poster to them. Lol. Again. FYP again. Omg!
I'm pretty sure they are quite strict in choosing people since the position has been vacant since June and they are interviewing people every weekday.
I would better not keep my hopes high. I still have not figure out whether I wanna do my FYP over and over again for the rest of my life. The title 'Research Officer' sounds really cool.. But hais, I'm not sure if I'm up to it.
More interviews to go!
Hope that I can one day be more confident at interviews. :D
